OK, getting back on topic (kind of anyway)....the mod hasn't made a great deal of progress - I'm still suffering with bronchitis & our animator is out of action while he deals with some real life issues. But in the thread for HoM at 3DRealms, a guy made up a little animation of Preston doing gun kata....& its tre' cool - check it out: JenGe, can you host this some where? Don't want to link directly off 3DRealms for too long - you can edit this post with your link once you have it uploaded somewhere. (Edited link by Jenge)

I can't right now though, cuz everyone's pages are screwed, but, as soon as it's up, I can post it there and send the link. (Edit image link by JenGe)

Saw the thread getting lost, thought a little update may be in order: Here's what I've done lately. - Been working on giving the game a slight "bloom" effect similar to what the movie has. I've noticed there's some sort of tint to the whole film but I can't quite place the color... yellow? - Tweaked the Gun Kata system some more. You can now access GK mode and the guns by simply pressing G at any time. I also fixed one of my bigger issues with the system and instead of having to hit a button to go into the special move set it does it automatically as soon as you select the guns. - Added a new feature: Sweeper helmets can now have their visors destroyed when shot in the head. Very fun to do and also makes it worth it to aim and get headshots Last but not least... In between coding sessions I took a few screenshots. Here's one: www.smartgroups.com/picvault/24561722.jpg/awesome.jpgI'll make a newspost about this later on with the rest of the screenshots.

How did I come to miss this??!! Sorry about that Mr. A!!!! PM me next time. I've tried to right click & save it but all I'm getting is a "bmp" file instead of a "gif" one. Could someone else download this if they can and then e-mail it to me... eqfansite@aol.comI'll get on it ASAP!!

Larger update when DeepSix is up again... in the meantime here are a few new shots I cooked up. They show some of the new gun-kata moves I implemented since the last update... The animations made by me (before they were made by Higginson), code by me. I'll be animating from now on too so work should progress much faster, plus, I have all these cool moves in my head I want to put in. These are just a few of the things I came up with in the past few days. If you've paid attention to the filenames there you'll see they're all called the same thing. This is because they're all basically the same move, which has different moves chained together to clear up different positions around you. The "backleftkata" you see there attacks three different areas, direclty behind and to the sides, directly in front of you, and finally, opposite sides. The final bodycount after performing that move with skill will be 5 people (tested and works). Each move requires practice and skill to use, as well as the adequate situation and foe positioning. Ah yes, almost forgot. In this screenshot you can see the new destroyable visors. It all works exactly as it should. Shoot a guy in the face? His visor willl shatter which will then be followed by all new damage animations. PS: I toned down the blood effects right after I took these screenshots so expect to see "cleaner" shots later on.
