One last small media update before the trailer is released (which will be sometime in the coming weeks). Early version of Cleric Brandt:

It looks great!
A question on the gun kata, though: how will you be able to fire on two enemies at once, and dodge the enemy bullets, while making it fun and challenging? If you just have him auto-target enemies and auto-dodge, it would be extremely boring. Even if you have some choice as to the movement, or as to who you target, how do you plan to make these challenging? A cleric isn't invincible. Preston was the best cleric of them all, remember.
Here's my idea: maybe you could use the mouse to click on an enemy to target them (left click = left gun, right click = right gun). As you move through the level, you click an enemy with left mouse button, you shoot at him with your left gun. Then, click on another enemy with your right mouse button and quickly click on another enemy with your right mouse button (maybe the two enemies are next to eachother). The character might miss the second enemy because he is trying to do two things at once. Clicking an enemy twice would make you shoot twice at them, and clicking them once with each mouse button would fire both at him at the same time. In this manner, you could progress through the level shooting at targets with the left and right gun independantly, while making it challenging because you need to balance the use of the left and right gun in relation to the character's stance and direction. If you aim at a sweeper to your right with your left gun, there is a higher chance you will miss than if you shot with your right gun. Something like that, at least. If you click on multiple enemies quickly, before you are ready to shoot at them, you will fire at them in the order you clicked. Therefore, your movement would have to ensure that you got the best aim with each gun during each shot. It would be difficult.
Maybe, if possible, you can add in a target aiming thing where you can click on the target's head to get a 1-hit kill, or their stomach or limbs to not kill them instantly. More challenge.
For the gun-kata dodging, maybe you could see lines (like laser sights almost) pointing out of the enemies' guns so you knew where they were aiming, and thus you could move out of their line of fire. However, you have to pay attention because they are changing their aim, and there would be many enemies' aiming lines to watch out for. you'd have to be careful, and if you strayed into the line of fire you would get shot.
Doing this dodging system while at the same time the button-gun correspondance system, and the aiming system and the possability of missing, and of being hit, would add a lot of challenge and fun to this game that you could not get from standing in the middle of a bunch of enemies and just watching preston kill everyone.
I don't know anything about max payne so I don't know how easy it would be to implement these ideas, but just think about them.

BTW, looking excellent!! Thanks JenGe! We are making some fairly steady progress, there's just a few more little things that need to happen to the current build before I can finish the trailer - I hate doing things half arsed! Feel free to post the news up if you want to - esp. if its a slow "news day" for the site.

Well heres some good news & some bad news. I have asked JenGe to use the now defunct Project EQ section of these boards....and she's essentially said yes.
So now the members of our team will have somewhere to talk about the progress of our mod, implementing ideas, etc. Which is great news.
The bad news is I aim to be keeping it a private forum during mod development...only opening it up to the public after it has been released. It will probably go private again when the all new story (based on a sequel to the movie) mod begins development.
I have also started a CDC for the mod at Levels4You, which will give me somewhere to host the trailer, then the mod (when completed). I'll post a link when I spend a little more time on the getting all the details sorted.

Ahh, Project EQ (sniffles) May it rest in peace. I think Mr Anderson's project is a most worthy successor to carry the EQ-Mod torch. Go get em, Mr A. Show the gameing world what Gun-Kata can do. ;D

I've created a board just for you & your team... === Hall of Mirrors Project ===I decided that was easier then contacting the old members & deleting all the threads. See your board PM for more info on how to access it. Also I'll be giving you admin powers over it. Enjoy!! Jen
