they don't get buried, I think...they get incinerated... Ah, yes, I'm sure you're right. And as NoodleCleric further points out, funerals are probably EC-10. Too much emotion.

Just one observation...... Since Brandt didn't achieve the Senior Cleric rank for his martial skills or merits..... we have to assume he had his promotion just as reward for having fooled Preston.
But we all know that there were no comparition with his gun and martial skills and Preston's ones. So, should we assume there are some other Senior Clerics less talented?
Besides........ are there ANY other Senior Cleric? (Preston was 1st Class Senior Cleric.... but that means the existence of a 2nd class and so on?)

(Preston was 1st Class Senior Cleric.... but that means the existence of a 2nd class and so on?) i think that he was the first inline cuz there really arent any present in the movie. If they were Sr Cleric wouldnt they be there to protect the so called father. instead you had diggs there and someother of fathers lame protectors.

Partridge wore the uniform of a 1st Class Cleric, and the fact that Bandt and Fathers bodygaurd went down so easily is more down to the fact that Preston is really REALLY good, rather than the others being crap. I mean, I assume Brandt has quilified at Gun-Kata and you'd have to be REALLY good to practice that system properly. I get the impression from the film that there are other senior clerics (1st class), but that they're spread quite thin on the ground. Preston's line to Partridge about resources being tight seems to back that up. The Cleric are spread all across Libria, which is a whole country. Maybe the only have a few 1st class in one area, and a larger number of 2nd class to back them up.

ok i have a question i dont know if this goes here but here you go. If there is no emotion then why when the guy is giving his lil speech on the monitors everyone starts to clap after he is done .Doenst clapping show type of emotion. Not at all, that is the most un emotional response to a motivational speech ever. Look at the faces, the people have no expression while they are clapping. Its just like when Brandt smiles, its not that he is really happy, but humans have reflex reactions to situations. Hence the smile is more of a muscular reaction. And the applause is an expected reaction to the speech. Like KW said, Humans could not just eradicate all sorts of responses and tradition. That’s why they still have a family structure.

brandt was with father at the end because brandt was one the ones who was involved in the framming of preston. father never grants anyone an audience including clerics, but it was actually brandt who would take the credit of destroying the underground

Watched movie for fourth time today at/after work and noticed a couple more things... ~ When they arrest Mary and find the secret room, look at the two lamps on the back wall. You can see heat (maybe from incense being burned by the bulbs..??) rising from them through the openings in the lamp shade... ~ When Preston is in the morgue apologizing to Partridge, you don't see a bullet hole in his face/head anywhere. That's where he was shot, right..?? ~ There are 2 different "Ts" in Libria. The ones on the flag and temple are the same, but the steel document cases and Prozium syringe cases are different

Partridge was also a TetraGrammaton Cleric First Class. In the beginning, I noted that the First Class Clerics do not drive; they are driven. Remember the conversation of Preston and Partridge in the back seat? Then, later, after Partridge is slain, Brandt, a Second Class Cleric, drives while Preston rides.

This is also mentioned that Patridge is a Cleric, First Class when Preston goes to the evidentiary office to see whether or not Partridge turned in the book from W.B. Yeats...

Hi. Partridge was shot in the neck. And I believe you can see the bullet hole in this scene. I looked at him when he was on the slab and I couldn't see it anywhere. Clerics usually shoot people in face/head area...

I'll be sure to look the 5th time I watch it I know why you don't see the bullet hole..... because you watch the scene where Preston his near Partridge's body in the mortuary (before checking on Partridge's possession)...... while the scene where is possible to see the bullet hole in Partridge's neck is when Preston was dreaming Partridge getting incinerated.... There you can see the bullet hole in his neck.

I have to rectify my previous words.... The mark is visible in the mortuary scene as well.... but you have to watch the movie on PC screen, otherwise you can see that (I always saw it on my Tv)

There are 3 types of gun clips, the normal ones, the ones which he chucks along the floor that balance upright, and some other (i didn't notice this it was my friend, so i can't take credit, and i can't remember what all 3 types are, but i am sure we can all work it out)

Pretty sure this has been mentioned on other threads, but:
The older woman walking on the stairs and holding the railing...(Preston does as well)...is also feeling.
The guard who looks over at Preston while he is examining Mary O'Brien's belongings is also feeling.

I have a question....
When Preston was dreaming of his wife..... and he was watching her..... his expression was so.... undefined.... I don't know..... it seems to me that he was watching her with such a love expression.... but he didn't feel at that time..... on the other hand maybe he was just gauging whether she was feeling......(but I'll lean towards the first option)
What do you think about that?

I think that Preston does love his wife he just doesn't realize it, his feelings are so deeply hidden he is not consciously aware of them - this backs up why DuPont used him - someone who could feel but who wasn't aware of it - plus it could be the reason why he didn't realize that she was feeling, more that he did on some subconscious level but because he loved her, didn't report it

But... how could you feeling if you are taking your daily doses? Prozium should inhibit all the feelings.... otherwise, how could Preston have shooted Partride at such cold blood?

No, actually it does not inhibit all feelings it suppresses the highs and the lows. We have drugs today that are similar. Prozium is but a stronger variation.

It surprises me that someone sooner in films hasn't come up with some of these creative methods of reloading. I'm looking forward to what ideas Wimmer might incorporate into Ultraviolet.

If that was true, how can you explain Preston's answer (when DuPong asked him what did he feel about his wife's death) "I didn't feel nothing!"? If he was feeling something, he should have told him.... I don't know... sorrow.... or maybe loss...... or some other "low" feelings.

As for the nowhere-to-be-seen bullet hole in Partridge's head..., I got the impression that Preston pointed gun on his face and shot in this direction. There's also hole in the upper corner of the book Partridge was holding indicating that he was shot in the head Don't know, maybe i should wait for the DVD to get closer look at it
