MAX, that was nicely put.
However, I'm not sure if y'all agree with this, but what about "the Dark Arena" by Mario Puzo? Not quite in the vein of Equilibrium or Ultraviolet (although I'm not too sure how that one's gonna turn out theme-wise just yet), but still film worthy. Check it out. Good book. Especially for his first. A little against Germans, but still cool.

He should make a film based on the popular video game Red Faction. I really think his style of directing would match it.

Ever since I read that he wanted to do a musical I can't get over the idea of Wimmer helming Les Mis to the big screen.

Now there's one I hadn't thought of that could be interesting. The nice thing about Gundam Wing is that it is very "character" driven and not just mindless action.

He should remake Mary Poppins. In the remake, Mary Poppins is an undercover government agent sent to infiltrate a rich British family to investigate rumours of sense offense. She finds Michael, the young lad, listening to Mozart secretly in his room, and as she's about to neutralise him, the disreputable vagaband Burt bursts in and pulls off a last-second rescue. Thereafter, the film portrays the violent power-struggle between these opposing forces. But a surprise twist: Mary Poppins is a secret sense offender! Burt and Poppins join together to topple the cruel tyranny of...none other than George Banks!

Agreed. I like the Red Faction idea as well. But not number 2. It was pretty much a movie in itself (Yeah, Jason Statham!).

Jason Stratham? I love him. I love to see him work with Kurt Wimmer.

Hmm, Red Faction II was a major disappointment. Not even half as engrossing as the first game. As for Jason Stratham: He was good in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, but his recent performances have been unexceptional. For some reason he keeps landing roles of American characters-- and he just cannot do a believable American accent! Did you see him in The Transporter? I couldn't figure out if he was meant to be American or a Londoner, it was some new kind of hybrid. Just terrible . His feeble American accent was almost as bad as Dick Van Dyke's Cockney accent in Mary Poppins!

I didn't mind the Transporter, it had some nice action sequences.
As for doing a film version Red Faction, it kinda has been done to a certain extent in Total Recall (Mars setting, mutants, mining).
If we are going video game tie-ins, I reckon Kurt would be awesome pick for the Devil May Cry film.

I think he should do a movie about Samson. Judging by Eq, he has the goods to pull off a good Biblical epic.
Besides, I'd like to see how Wimmer does the jawbone fight.

Hmmm...for a Biblical epic I would love to see Wimmer and Smith tackle the Angelic revolt and fall of Lucifer. Angels doing Kata would be wicked!

I'd trust him with filming my novel, "Karasevdah." Or some other action/romantic tale ... I sense a capable hand there for dealing with serious but interesting relationships. A film based on E.R. Eddison's Zimiamvia trilogy, from him, could be fascinating.

He should make my movie idea Same atmosphere as Ultraviolet, only more utopian. Lots of action and gun-kata! And (for me) a kick ass story. Other than that... I would like to see some more scince fiction from him. He seems to make them like I like

...Jane Eyre! That's the story I was reaching for. I'd like to see him re-do that ... no, and I don't mean with sci-fi trappings, but straight! He could also do something, I think, with Andrei Platonov's story "This Fierce And Beautiful World," about a locomotive engineer who discovers the engineering above engineering ...

Platonov also wrote a dystopian novel called "Chevengur" ... hitherto untranslated as far as I know ... Evgany Zamyatin's "We," like "Chevengur," is also a dystopian society ... Both might have certain interesting parallels to Libria ... though "We," I think, was already filmed, though very long ago ... time for a remake ... He might also film Austin Tappan Wright's "Islandia." I'd work up a script for that ...

Imho, Kurt Vonnegut's "Cat's Cradle" would make rather a good film, too.

Or how about just straight out Drama. I think he should make one that has no action but just drama. What do you think?
