not rubbing it in Mr. A, just stating a fact Yeah I know, G. But the truth hurts in this case though.... But just think...how much sweeter it will be for you to see it for yourself - time flys....you'll be watching some poor fool get his throat slashed by Butler and his merry men in no time. ;D

Fighting with my computer again. I just cannot get the effect I want in FLASH for my new project. I can't seem to find it "canned" so I might have to create/animate it from the ground up. Could take months.

Could take months. sorry to hear that JenGe. I usually make all my animations myself anyway - can't seem to find things that I'm looking for etc and just end up more satisfied when I make it myself. But good luck - you never know you might find what you're looking for. I went to dinner with friends last night and today I'm a little tired but still attempting to work. Going to watch Heroes at lunch time. Supposed to snow tomorrow

I've been picking a new mobile phone because some bastard stole my old one. Grrrrr! Need stringing up they do! Andrew had his phone stolen right out his pocket (he was at a night club). He blocked the SIM as soon as he noticed but it took forever to get the new SIM updated. Ooooh. New computer! quote] Indeed. Very flashy and with a huge LCD monitor, too. It's got Vista and so far I'm impressed...don't seem to be any bugs *crosses fingers and toes)

Ooh...new computer eh Libby? Is Vista very different to XP? What sort of advantages does it have over the old one? Having now battled with it all day I'm not sure what you'd call 'advantages'... It all looks very sexy with all its slinky graphics...but I believe it's pretty much what Apple have been doing for ages. Trouble is, there's more compatibilty issues than I'd like. I can't get my essential software to run yet (skool stuff) and it really didn't like Outlook (just won't run it). I'm already getting 'updates' from Microsoft (which still don't fix things) so atm I'm very ticked off. Didn't really have a choice about it being installed (got such a good deal on the package that we couldn't refuse) but I'd advise steering clear until it's sorted.

I spent the week-end in company with several Microsoft developers and listened to them talking about Vista. I was impressed with what I understood of it, which was very little.

I was impressed with what I understood of it, which was very little. *chuckles* I think one of the problems is that these people are running at the front of the pack with all the latest upgrades and forget those of us trailing at the back with perfectly good early versions of software that do the job. Vista just doesn't seem backwards compatible and it's not fair *whines*. I've dragged through more sites trying to solve my .dll problems than I can shake Bill Gates at and still got nowhere. *sighs* Will have to bully the ICT co-ordinator to get upgrades!

Thanks.. I think I'll have net access..
Windows Vista. Never and I mean never upgrade to a new Microsoft OS till they at least have service pack 1. I'd wait for SP2 if at all possible. MS considers a certain amount of bugs acceptable because of the variety of systems that are going to have the new OS on it. Personally I wait till there is a game or program I cannot run with the old OS, I'll probably keep XP for at least another year.

If that doesn't satisfy you - just think that quite possibly that person is a miserable pile of poo that is festering at the core and will die one day - unloved, unclean, unwholesome, and full of pain....... sorry if that's a bit dark or negative - And I am not impressed with Vista....I agree that it's better to wait than to jump on the band wagon right away. Vista has a lot of issues from what I understand and maybe it's just me - but just because they come out with a newer version of something doesn't make it better. The only software I constantly upgrade is Adobe and that is because of my job.

I've just phoned the 'tech support' for the software for my interactive whiteboard...I keep a copy at home to do my planning...and they've told me they're advising schools not to install Vista (well they won't anyway) but that gets them off the hook and I'm left with running it on my old, suicidally psychotic PC until they get their arses in gear. *glares at shiny, black new PC*
Have got Adobe CS and various other stuff running very nicely (and fast...but that's the lightning dual thingy processor) but I still have headache...
*Goes off to catch up with Supernatural, Dresden Files and Heroes...*
