My picks this summer are...
The Hulk T3 LXG (I'm a sucker for corny adventures!!) Pirates of the Caribbean 28 Days Later S.W.A.T. The Order
Not as many as last year but hopefully they'll be better. Had to wait until Dec. and Equilibrium for a decent action flick.

I seen the Hulk and I wouldn't say that it was too good either. In fact, I'm pretty confused by the whole thing and think that the Hulk looked a little too much like a leaping frog through the majority of the movie.

I saw Hulk yesterday.
****SPOILER ALERT*****
I think the problem was that Ang Lee is more of a classical director instead of a modern or "pop" one. The whole movie came across as a retelling of Hercules vs. Zeus. And while I don't quite approve of some changes in the story (the Absorbing Man angle, for one), and a few rough spots (like his first transformation - I didn't really feel a reason for him to get *really* angry at that time), I think the story generally worked.
****END SPOILER*****
Speaking for myself, I rather enjoyed it.

28 days later, cant wait. the rest of the crap should burn Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle came out yesterday...don't you want to see that one?? (evil grin ;D) Ok, I'm really looking forward to Wimmer's Ultraviolet and Kill Bill with fems kicking butt but I just can't seem to get thrilled for stuff such as Charlie's Angels. Personally I think films like that give female action leads a bad rep.

Oooopppss!! I guess I shouldn't have mentioned Kill Bill in a "Summer" thread. It doesn't come out until Fall (I think??). Can't seem to find an exact date. I did see a trailer for Northfork. Though not an action flick it still looks kinda interesting... us.imdb.com/Title?0322659

Another no summer flick that could be a sleeper hit is Underworld...it looks pretty cool....The Hulk was decent I thought but not nearly as good as X-Men 2. Looking forward to T3 and S.W.A.T

Another no summer flick that could be a sleeper hit is Underworld...it looks pretty cool.... I actually had Kate Beckinsale all picked out for Wimmer's Ultraviolet and then I realized she was in Underworld as well as Van Helsing.

I want to see Pirates of the Carribean. I also want to watch Johnny English because Mr. Bean is the man. *Sigh*.... Shoalin Soccer is comming out here but it has been dubbed, edited and music has been changed. So if you plan to see it find the DVD of the original

I want to see Pirates of the Carribean. .. I wasn't all that impressed with the first teaser but the new trailer actually looks interesting. I'll be there. BTW, does anyone know what date T3 opens?? I'm sure I could search around the net but I'm too lazy this morning...

I began to have a bit of hope for the film when I noticed it was directed by Jonathan Mostow.(U571) He can't fill Cameron's shoes but still might turn out an interesting flick. Glad to hear that you think so.

well i saw T3 last night, i would have to say it was actually pretty good i was going in with intentions of it sucking. but i will admit that i was wrong. its a good movie i liked the plot and story line some good scenes, i think everything was fitted in perfectly. the only thing i hoped at the end was that it would of been longer maybe a lil more then 2hrs but still its a great sequal. Well done

Saw T3 this afternoon and loved it!! (for you Chewers this is a repost...)
=====Slight Spoilers====
I enjoyed nearly every minute of T3...even the corny stuff had me grinning. In tone it reminded me much more of the original Terminator than T2 and since I'm one of the few people on the planet that actually prefers the first flick I loved this. T3 is like reliving the unapologetic popcorn action flicks I grew up with in the late 70's and 80's.
====Bigger Spoilers=====
Claire Danes impressed!! I bought into the fact that she would shoot at John right off without a second thought. (Even if it was a paintball.) Its about time!!
Nice twist ending!! I always wondered if the franchise would head this direction and I'm more than enthusiastic that it has. Going in though I wasn't sure if Nick Stahl had what it took to pull of John Conner but his dilemma as the reluctant hero & his future fit him well.
One gripe...it does appear that the studio was aiming for a PG-13...where are all the f...ing f words?? If I remember...and please correct me if I'm wrong... John has/had quite a mouth...didn't he??

They say that Equilibrium was a Matrix Rip but has anyone else thought about the Matrix Idea being A Terminator 1, 2, 3 Rip?
