Spot on!

Read it. Well, I see you took a break from the investigation and went into personal relations in this chapter. So the story slows down, which absolutely doesn't mean it dropped on quality. Anyway, the thought I had after this chapter was that - no matter what psychologists and educators say nowadays - I would spank Robbie. Hard! What he did was very, very low. OK, he hates Kyra, but he fails to understand that he's messing up with his father's life as well. Anyway, it was a good read. A very good read.

And can I add before anything that I'm sorry I haven't posted on LoMS...had to apologise to Wolf too...just can't seem to get my act together with SATs looming next week, but I shall be more compos mentis afterwards... Well...everything happens for a reason in fics and this is no exception. Sometimes it's good to get out of the 'comfort zone' and the fallout from Robbie's little 'dirty bomb' puts everyone at risk...

Sometimes it's good to get out of the 'comfort zone' and the fallout from Robbie's little 'dirty bomb' puts everyone at risk... Hm, I do not deny that. That particular subplot only adds to the overall suspense, which is good But that doesn't keep me from pointing out and reprimanding that kind of behavior, which I did. Which also means that this scene was very well executed - otherwise i would probably just shrug or point out, what seemed off to me. As for LoMS - no problem It's obvious that work comes first I should be able to add more chapters until then, so you have more to read

*sighs deeply* you know, I had a feeling Mary would have a cameo in this… but I didn’t quite expect that!
Looks like Preston and Kyra are going to need some serious couples therapy to fix this. And I agree with MaWa – Robbie needs some hard spanking. Ask me again why we all hate him? Lol
*grabs Beethoven and hides under the bed with him until we’re back to happier times*

Actually, I sympathise with Robbie's feelings, just not the way he chose to express them I liked this a lot; can't wait for more! ;D

Actually, I sympathise with Robbie's feelings, just not the way he chose to express them I liked this a lot; can't wait for more! ;D Thanks. Poor Robbie, he just can't win. My take is that he (and Lisa) have spent their formative years suppressing their emotions and never really learning how to deal with them. He's lashing out the only way he can. Talking to his similarly repressed father isn't going to cut it and he really can't get his head round understanding and forgiveness. We do lots of this at school in PSHE...it's part of SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) which attempts to help children understand and deal with their often out-of-control feelings, giving them strategies and letting them experiment.

Contrary to what the author says, to me it looked rather like an act of a cold, calculating mind, not someone who barely has problems with managing his emotions. This was too precise for me. Yeah, I know. I'm skeptical at times.

Yeah, I know. I'm skeptical at times. No, no. I agree, I think it was completely calculated. But I think he just doesn't know how to express himself otherwise. So he takes it out on Kyra. Like, some children are quick to hit people when they don't like a situation, even though they do not generally have a violent personality. As Libby said, I have trouble imagining Preston and him having some quality one-on-one time. I suppose Robbie knows his father is too busy sorting his own emotional mess that he wouldn't go to him in the first place. *gets over her fangirl-self and buys Robbie a Teddy Bear*

Hey, I'm new here, a new fan of the movie Equilibrium (started watching it for Christian Bale, finished watching it because it's AWESOME), and I absolutely LOVE this story. One of the best EQ fics I've read...so...not to sound impatient or anything, but...when's the next installment??? I'm dying to know what happens, and my own pathetic imagination only gets me so far...

One of the best EQ fics I've read...so...not to sound impatient or anything, but...when's the next installment??? I'm dying to know what happens, and my own pathetic imagination only gets me so far... Welcome to the boards alace! I quite agree! *starts chanting* Lib-ee! Lib-ee! Lib-ee! ;D One of these days I'll get the time to finish it...too much RL stuff getting in the way. I'm revamping my school's ICT planning and it's a bit of a 'mare! Also, Mira warned me a while back about getting involved with managing a website...spent 2hrs tonight just editing and linking the school newsletters! However, Kyra is in for a bumpy ride in the next few chapters... And welcome alace! There are lots of other great fics in the Freedom Reading room. If you haven't checked them out yet, there's Witcher Wolf, Sontin-JudasFM and Aedh with finished fics and reveria who's heading for the final showdown in her fascinating fic!

Haha. Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I've been looking at all the other fics on here was well. I've been holed up in my room on the computer all day. I think my family's beginning to wonder if I'm still alive...
