What would you name the sweet pup from the movie?

This is tentative, since I don't name an animal until after I really get to know it (which explains why none of my cats EVER had names I guess ... lol). And I don't know gender. But I do know one thing ... a dog's name has to sound good being shouted out. Because you WILL find yourself shouting it out ... so you don't want something like "Winston."
I believe I'd go with ... "Doofus."

Yep ... guess I'm outvoted ... a dead German composer he gets to be! In which case I'd go with Moritz ... after Moritz Eggert. Ah! Herr Eggert isn't dead yet, you say ...? That's easily rectified ...
I'm not an Evil Genius for nothing you know.

Right ... OK then ... "Louie." Which is an Americanised form of "Louis," which is the same as the German "Ludwig." Thus far will I compromise. But I am NOT about to go tromping about the neighbourhood yelling ... "HEEERE Ludwig!! Comere boy! *whistle* LUUUUDDD ... WIIIIIIIGGG!!" That's my final offer.
Not to mention ... in this neighbourhood, if you had to put up posters saying "Lost Dog--Answers To 'Ludwig'" ... you would thenceforth be given a wide berth.

How about Buddy? Seems like a nice name for a dog like that.

How about Buddy? Seems like a nice name for a dog like that. eh ... I dunno about 'Buddy.' All I can think of is President Clinton's poor dog who wound up getting killed by a car.

Now that we have some breaches in the wall of dead German composers ... I take back my concession. I'm going back to "Doofus" again.

Depends on the gender of the puppy. But the little one is just too damned cute!!! Boy, maybe Jonny or Erol. Girl, Vivy or Mary. Ludwig is also pretty damn clever.
