I just stumbled across this today and knew that many of you might be interested. It's still longer than it should be but the price is not bad at all. www.museumreplicas.com/museumreplicas/detail.aspx?ID=157I think I will give myself a coke. ;D Also, heads up to everyone here. I will be sending out a newsletter with this sometime next week so I want to give all of you regulars a head start.

At that price I'm sure you could even get a tailor to shorten it.

Good find! Affordable is nice for a change. And you don't give yourself near enough Cokes, JenGe! You deserve a million of 'em!

Not bad, and it looks better tailored than the old Abbyshot ones (which tended to look bulky.) It does need a trim, however the website gets cool points for NOT POSING WITH SUNGLASSES ON.
Somehow people feel the need to wear shades with the Grammaton Cleric uniform...which is as bewildering as the guy I saw in Starbucks wearing the Neo coat with the (Lord of the Rings) Evenstar pendant. That was bewildering actually on two counts. 1: Strange Matrix/LotR combo and 2: Normal day...he wasn't attending a convention!

Too bad it only comes in smaller sizes. Most retailers seem oblivious to the fact that big men like clothes too ... and have money to buy them with.

Well said, Aedh & the same goes for us large women too. My husband came home from work a few nights ago with a catalog from the company that makes this coat (they mainly have swords, knives & period costumes). He says "They have a coat from that movie you like!" (awww, isn't he sweet) but he brought up later how he noticed that cleric is spelled with a K and there is no mention of Equilibrium itself. He knew what it was, but if you don't know the show, you'd have no idea where it comes from. They have to do that for legal reasons, I assume. Otherwise they'd have to get permission to use the name(s) & likeness, right?

First off ... big people rock. The rest of humanity are just envious.
Secondly, the word "Cleric" is a common English word ... it's not copyrighted. It'd be like trying to copyright "Biker."
Creative spellings like that ... from my experience in retail and marketing ... can be a good idea with e-commerce, where you want to avoid a product with a common-word name. Think about it ... "Cleric Coat" typed in a Google search would generate 850,000 hits. But "Klerik Coat" would be much easier to track down. Personally I think THAT's why they did it.

So, with Halloween right around the corner, who's doing an Equilibrium costume?

Dammit, I bought my Abbyshot jacket a few years ago and now this much cheaper one comes out! I should have waited but oh well.
If anyone has this less expensive one yet, please review so that I can know the difference between the 2 jackets.
