Since Equilibrium has a lot of European influence, the following movie is worth mentioning: There is a very informative new film about the Red Army Faction (also known as the Baader-Meinhof Gang) that terrorized Germany during the 1970s. Their goal was to overthrow the capitalist government they perceived as fascist, but they were as brutal and evil as the fascists themselves. Had they gained power, they would have ruled Europe with the same brutality as Tetragrammaton. www.rottentomatoes.com/m/baader_meinhof_complex/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Der_Baader_Meinhof_KomplexThis is not a documentary, but an R rated movie. It shows how a leftist terrorist group gradually morphed into a monstrous and ruthless gang that would stop at nothing in order to gain absolute power. On surface, the Baader-Meihhof Group (Red Army Faction) pretended that the American influence and capitalism in Germany were the "new face of fascism", and that they were trying to overthrow the existing system, but in the end, their brutality, their vicious assassination campaigns revealed that had they gained power, they would have been as bad as the Tetragrammaton. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Army_FactionIn any case, this is one way Tetragrammaton can come to power if there is global chaos, and if people lose confidence in the existing system.

I've seen the movie, when it came out here and it's a piece of German history I've never really mentioned before I saw the film, but it is worth mentioning and a very interesting lesson that history tries to teach us: How easily idealists turn into ruthless monsters in their believe to fight for the rightous thing. The film is very authentic, but it leaves some questions open, but these are questions the public doesn't know the answers until today. There are still some secrets about that group and some of the former members are still alive and in prison. A friend of mine told me that he would know for sure that this group is still working underground. Hard to say if this is true...But the most interesting thing for me is the following fact, which has been revealed some months ago: The RAF has been founded after a (Western-German) policeman shot a very popular talker of the critic new wave of students, having many pro-socialist activists among them. Now we know that this policeman has been an undercoveragent of the Stasi ("Staatssicherheit"=East-German secret service) and though there are no real evidences that he had order to shoot this famous left-wing-activist, it seems very plausible. The revelation of this fact turns the picture of the glourious fighting heroes of the RAF into manipulated puppets, controlled by the GDR to start an uprising in the West. Their "Brothers In Socialism" have killed their hero figure...

Their "Brothers In Socialism" have killed their hero figure... What you are saying about the East German Secret Service Stasi is very interesting, and this is not surprising. But is there an article (in English) that I can read about this manipulation by Stasi? (My German is very elementary, so the article has to be in English.) In any case, this kind of manipulation is common. Before Hitler attacked Russia, the Nazi leader Reinhard Heydrich sent secret documents and letters to various high ranking Soviet Army officers, and he made sure that these documents are captured by the Soviet secret police, so that Stalin would think that his best officers are planning to overthrow him. Then Stalin killed all his top generals in the Soviet Army, and when Hitler attacked Russia, the Soviet Army did not have skilled officers to fight the invasion. Heydrich was a diabolical and Machiavellian person. This is slightly different from Father trying to infiltrate an " agent provocateur" into the Resistance, but the theory is the same... Anyway, I am still working on my version of the Prequel to Equilibrium (the first part of the Prequel only, concerning how exactly World War III would start, which events would cause the negative emotions to take over all nations...)

Their "Brothers In Socialism" have killed their hero figure... You were correct! I have just found this article in English which confirms what you said: it is now known beyond the shadow of any doubt that the West-German policeman who shot the protester was in fact an agent of the Stasi. online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203550604574360050421860362.htmlDefinitely the kind of trick Dupont would use.
