Watched last night it. Definitely a must see.
Word of warning before you take kids. There's one bad word, and the Other Miss Spink/ Miss Forcible scene is not only a little racey, but it's easily the scariest scene in the movie.
2009 looks like a good year for animated movies. Between this and 9, it actually looks like we have two of them that can compete with the Pixar movie.

Agreed... Brilliant. Best 3D movie I've seen so far. The use of famous paintings as some backgrounds was awesome. If you can see it in 3D do it. It's not gimmicky or anything, it just adds depth to the images. The story is very similar to Mirror Mask and since Giaman wrote the original story it has his flourishes all over it. The wierd cat, the young girl dealing with 2 worlds, the circus, all Gaiman staples.
My youngest was 10 he had no problems but I imagine small kids might freak out.
Saw the trailer for 9 with this. Boy am I looking forward to that one.. Also Monsters vs Aliens looks hilarious..

The kids watching it at the 5pm showing we saw laughed during that part. I don't think they took it the same way as the adults. Excellent film overall.

What do you think would be a minimum age for this movie? My 7 YO is begging to see it.

Depends on the kid... 7 is about the iffy age. If they scare easily I'd say no but if they are regular movie goers I don't see a problem..
