Yes that man's very good and his films are great, if you don't know the secret/sollution. But I read the sollution of "The Happening" and now this film won't be a pleasure for me I think... I haven't seen "The village" for the same reason yet.

I agree with Jay ... I think he's a fabby director who happens to have an unfortunate affinity for gimmicky plots. He has the potential to be another Hitchcock if he can overcome it. That being said, his films are wonderful visually. I plan to see it. (And Jay, it's summary combustion for you if you tell me the solution.)

I heard there was no "surprises" in this film. Night was interviewed in Empire and claimed it's pretty straight forward... Looking forward to it either way..

And Jay, it's summary combustion for you if you tell me the solution. Should I risk it? Well I read that the ending would be... No, I'm not that mean. I also hate to know the ending of a movie, befor I've seen it. The only film I loved though I knew the ending befor was Fight Club. And maybe I do have wrong information...

I saw the Happening last weekend - omg please save yourself the ticket of seeing this movie. I was so disappointed. We found out what was going on in the first 20 minutes of the movie and the rest was just blah. There were a few frights but IMO the main purpose of the movie was to tell us to be nice to nature or if you wanted to take it the other way - don't play in nature and kill everything. The movie didn't seem to have a twist either imo it was just a reg blah movie.

Saw it as well this is by far the worst movie of 2008 and anyone who is curious I beg you do not see it. Mark and Zooey were not believable as husband and wife Zooey performance was terrible and Mark could have done better this is a huge step backwards after his performance in The Departed. And even though the message is good (To take care of the enviroment or at least that is what I believe it was trying to say) the plot overall was a complete failiure on every level. Some will see it and some will not but to does who did there is a very big chance you regret is already.

But knowing there's a trap is the first step in evading it?

I actually liked the movie!!! And folks... there's more to it than just "be nice to nature"... and I believe that Mr. Shyamalan wanted us to see that. But I wont say what that is... I leave it to your interpretation...
