Wasn't absolutely awful, but I wasn't terribly impressed by it. Definitely not a classic Indiana Jones movie.
The Good: Has plenty of good moments of action and humor. A lot of Spielbergian moments. Indy's fighting commies this time, which I thought was long overdue.
The Bad: Story isn't very engaging, which makes the movie a little boring. I wasn't expecting a classic Indy movie, and I got what I expected. It was more like a bad fanfic or an Indy wannabe. The idea of Indy fighting communists was one of the main reasons I went to see the movie, but it didn't play out as well as I thought it would.
4/10

I disagree. I thought it was classic Indy. I agree that the magcuffin wasn't as good as Ark or Crusade and that made the exposition scenes a bit slow but the rest of the movie was such classic Indy that it more than made up for it. It had the Indy formula, terrific opening, followed by a visit to school, exposition scenes, the chase and the climax. LeBouf was better than I expected and the banter was upbeat without getting annoying. I did think Karen Allen was a bit underused. All in all I thought it was a fun ride, pretty much what I expected. I'd rate it 3rd out of the 4 movies. Only because the Grail was a much better macguffin..
