Ok this is an oldie but it's being released on DVD. It's called Dead Heat and it stars Treat Williams and Joe Piscopo. It's a buddy cop flick with a twist. One of the buddies is a zombie. Yes Treat Williams's character is killed off in the first 15 minutes only to be brought back from the dead by a machine that is being used to revive criminals to make an unstoppable zombie crime gang. You following this? Good.
Our zombie cop is decomposing so he has 12 hours to find his killer before his body turns to mush. Folks this is easily the worst, most horrible train wreck of a movie I have ever seen. Bad acting, bad dialog, bad sets, bad direction, bad editing, bad, bad, bad. Hell it was a bad idea to begin with. It is so awful that I've watched it 3 times. This movie makes Uwe Boll look like Coppola. Don't miss it. I'm serious. It's so bad it's good.

Sounds awesome. I find Treat Williams to be ridiculously entertaining as he always appears completely miscast for roles. I love him in Deep Rising, cause he looks more like a Family Channel sitcom dad then a mercenary transporter.
Definitely going to look this film up. If you love "so bad, they're great films" check out Troll 2 and Samurai Cop (try the latter with Joe Bob Brigg's comedy commentary).

Definitely sounds like a "must-add" to the Aedh Library ... I especially love the punning title. (For overseas comrades who may not suss: 'Heat' is regional US slang for a cop, so 'Dead Heat' = 'Policeman who has shuffled off this mortal coil.')
I don't see how it could be worse than "Leprechaun 6 (Back 2 Tha Hood)," however.

So do you want the guys to know what's the worst movie in terms of "OMG, that's so bad it's enjoyable" or "After seeing this film, I want to go on a killing spree of everyone mentioned in the credits?"

"Blood Thirsty" (2001) was pretty bad. The basic premise was, sophisticated mystery woman seduces college girl and turns her into a vampire ... and they only had one set and four actors, and a budget of like $30,000. Well this would do nicely for a the 22 minutes of a standard half-hour TV show. However in this case they wanted to make an entire 88-minute movie out of it. So you get lots and lots and lots of interior mood shots ... slow closeups of things like stockinged legs ... a full minute here and there of guttering candle or billowing curtain ... and desultory conversations about nothing in which everyone pauses for a good five seconds before replying on order to buy time.
If this movie had only been made in France it would have been acclaimed as a masterpiece of postmodern deconstructionalist revanchism which lays bare the existential Urlebnis of corporate domination of mass media. It does star a Frenchwoman, and another actress with a French name ... but sorry Fabian Lloyd. No cigar for you.

Wow that's quite a list. I need to see a few of those. One thing I probably didn't mention, this movie Dead Heat, is not a low budget made on a shoestring film. If it were I could forgive some of the more horrible aspects. This was a decent budget studio film. I will clarify my statement by saying worst studio movie ever..

One I've heard put up for the title is the 1989 "Brenda Starr" featuring Brooke Shields and Timothy Dalton. *shrug* I thought it was alright ... good fluffy entertainment: a comic strip brought to live-action video, like Robin Williams' brilliant "Popeye." Movies aren't all supposed to be deep, agonised quests for the meaning of life you know.

I'm not sure I have a definite opinion about what the worst movie is, but I'm going to say Lawnmower Man 2

I have not seen it but it cannot be worse than Monkey Bone...my personal pick as the Worst... Movie... Evah... OMG - yes that was a horrid movie. I saw Rise Blood Hunter this past weekend and that's up there for crap movies. It was just.....bad....boring....awful. Of course - I really didn't enjoy 30 days of night either - I love vampire movies but those two were just the pits...

I'll have to add Clueless, the mother of all bad chick flicks. Alicia Silverstone looked rather attractive in it, but her character is one of the most annoying I've ever seen and she made Jar Jar Binks look lovable. Another pretty bad movie I watched was "Fat Albert." (Fun Fact: the guy who made me sit through this movie also told me "Best in Show" wasn't funny )

By the authority vested in me, I thought I'd resurrect this thread for the interest of newer members, an those who had forgotten it existed. Haven't seen a bad movie lately, but I might do.
