I'm usually not a Spielberg fan but I am finding myself drawn to this film. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the Bana factor. ;D The trailer also looks AWESOME!!...Bodycount time... www.munichmovie.com

Even though Rent is my biggest addiction film of 2005 I have to say that I think Munich is by far the best film of the year. Here Spielberg captured my imagination in a way that he has not really done for me since the Indiana Jones films. Yes, this film has some of the problems I often complain about in his other movies but for me within the framework of this tale it not only works but enhances the experience. One thing I loved is that this again is virtually a 1st person film like EQ. Very little is seen outside of Avner's perspective and that perspective is engaging and fascinating.
I realize the political implication of a film such as this but what I found most important was the character. It is a first, in ages, that not only Spielberg captured my attention but also my heart.

Munich looks very interesting. I remember the Munich Games I remember the bear logo more than anything, but then I was only young. We saw the trailer this morning at the cinema, along with V for Vendetta(I was switching my phone off when the EQ music came on. That made me sit up and take notice ). They've even got a poster up. They've taken the Aeon Flux one down. I'm hoping that's not a sign that they're not going to show AF afterall still no news on WTL

Munich for me was very much like EQ, a single man, a killer coming to terms with his humanity and purpose within a system that uses his skills. I love it!!

Oh god.. lemme guess. Sappy ending? Well, I would not really call the ending "sappy" and those of you who have seen it know what I mean. Some find it quite disturbing though I thought it was very, very well done. This film has a feel almost like a Mammet film. I'm not sure if it is due to the fact that Spielberg used a playwright for this one.

I just saw Munich and it is quite gripping. Love Eric Bana! He was fantastic! I agree how seeing things through Avner's eyes is quite riveting. It is also interesting to see a family man, such as Avner, go through the stages after leading the life that he chose to lead.

I know this thread is 2 month old but I have to say that I love Munich. I thought it got robbed in the U.S academy awards I mean do not get me wrong Crash is a great film it really got to me but Munich was soooo much better. I think that Spielberg is a great director and this is his second greatest movie he has ever made next to Schindler's List. Munich to me is the Best Picture of 2005. Oh! and Jenge I don't want to criticise but dude you liked RENT? That movie was Just shit. With all do respect of course.

Great story. It would take something extraordinary like that for some of the sheep on this planet to realize that there are evil men in this world. Evil men who will kill you for almost no reason at all. Imagine your home country was surrounded by hostile enemies on all side. You had to deal with not just domestic terrorism, but international terrorism and the constant threat of invasion and being conquered, and sentenced to genocide.
