Hey Kurt,
I'll try to put is as simple as I can. I want to thank you for making Equilibrium - the movie which touched something very deep inside me. While there are so many movies that can be easily forgotten 5 minutes after watching them, EQ still inspires me and my imagination. It's not only a beautiful, touching story - it's also visually stunning ( especially concudering the budget you had ).
...and I tried to put it simple... but I still can't.
I'm looking forward for Ultraviolet and wish you all the best.
Your fan

A BIG thank you, Mr. Wimmer, for my biggest theatrical experience in the recent memory. I’ve seen Equilibrium 5 times at the movies and had to travel three times to other cities just for one purpose: to see this exceptional piece of art on the big screen again. I would do that again, if only given a chance. Thanks again for your determination and a heart for making movies. You are the right man in the right place. I’m sure you will make not only one great film in the future, but hundreds. And you know you can always count on your fans. We may be small group, but we are loud enough ;D
Big virtual hug has been sent…

Dear Mr. Wimmer, dear Jen, I'd like to say THANK YOU for creating such a gem as Equilibrium. Unfortunately I didn't see it on the big screen The first time I heard about it was by reading a recommendation in a magazine at my DVD rental. So I rented the DVD, watched the movie and it was an awesome experience. Your movie has touched something I can't describe and it's been on my mind ever since. It's so very rare that a movie can achieve something like this. The next THANK YOU goes out to Jen for creating this wonderful site. It's so great that this movie has brought as all together from all over the world. A very honoured "Equilibrian"

Dear Jen, dear Kurt, thaaaaaaaaank you soooooo much!!! ;D ;D I love this movie, and I love this fansite. It 's some kind of addictive stuff (can I describe it this way?), so I'm spending so much more time here than I would have ever expected. Like many of us Equilibrians I have rented the DVD, brought it back the next day, drove directly to the next store and bought EQ, just to return home and watch it again. Then I've found this site here and I'm so impressed by all the letters, wallpapers and the whole stuff which had been created by you, Jen and the fans. There's so much creative power in it, it's wonderful and I can't wait to see what's new. Like all the others, I would love to hear more about UV. I hope that they are going to release it at cinemas here in Germany.

Kurt, I found equilibrium to be one of the most enjoyable action films I have seen in a long time. I say action film, because even though the non-action was very well done, the action itself was so vibrant and memorable, I naturally categorise it as a great "action" film.
After yawning my way through Minority Report, it was such a breath of fresh air. Possibly cause it had that air of testosterone about it, something I've sorely missed since the 80's. But you managed to balance this against a wonderfully played out drama. The film also LOOKED great in all areas, considering the budget, I don't know how you managed this, well done.
Many people are such HUGE fans of this film because they are, like me, ASTOUNDED this film didn't get the promotion it deserved. I think this is already becoming a cult classic.
I wish you all the best with your next project.

Mr. "Ludwig Van" Wimmer, if you put as much heart into each camera shot and character moment of Ultraviolet as you did with Equilibrium I have no doubt it'll be successful. Best of luck to you.

Dear Kurt, I cannot thank you enough for being YOU! I cannot thank you enough for the masterpiece that is Equilibrium. I am highly critical when it comes to films, some friends refer to me as jaded, but when I discovered Equilibrium, I rejoiced at having found something SPECIAL and utterly unique. No where have I seen such extraordinary action scenes, no where. Everything about Equilibrium is first class...absolutely first class. The script, the actors, the camera angles...everthing. In every frame you capture BEAUTY. Every detail shows the loving and careful touch of its caring Creator. I have no doubt whatsoever that Ultraviolet will also be a masterful and thoroughly satisfying work of art. In your expert hands, how can it be anything else? You are by far my favorite film Writer/Director...your vision excels where others' stumbles and fails in many films. I am thankful to have discovered such marked talent. All my very best to you and yours, Kurt. Thank you for taking the time to send your message. Although, I did scare my neighbor at work a bit, because when I saw it, I let out quite a holler of glee. Again, thanks so much for blessing us all with your wonderful contributions. With love and admiration, Stefanie a.k.a. Trinity

I think it's been said enough times to last a lifetime, but I'll say it again: Thank you, sir. I absolutely love Equilibrium and tell everyone to see it. I totally believe that Ultraviolet will be as good, if not better, than Equilibrium. And, I also hope that it will be in Canadian theatres. I don't wanna wait until it comes out on Pay Per View and DVD. I love vampire films (most anyway) and am really looking forward to Ultraviolet.
That's about it. Oh, one other thing. I don't think I've ever actually thanked Jen for such an awesome website. Anyway, thank you once again.
Shawn - or, if you prefer, (God knows I would,) Stuponfucious.

Hey all... I've been absent a long time, the gods alone know, but i'm back... if any of you remember me! The first thing i saw in my inbox, of course, was the letter... i think that's about the best line in "welcome back" anyone could do. Wimmer, congratulations on Equilibrium, and best of luck with Ultraviolet... can't wait to see how it turns out! I've every confidence in you. And congratulations to you, Jen, for, well, this place... which i'm very glad to be returning to. My very sinscere thanks - and appreciation - to both of you. *bows*

i read the email from jen that included Mr. Wimmer's comments a long while ago. after that, i watched this thread grow trying to come up with things to say that havent already been said. its difficult but i think i may have something.
-Jen: thank you for your support and for being the framework of this fansite and forum. you've helped numerous people with similar interests find a place to play.
-Kurt: thank you for rocking all of our worlds with a movie that, i am confident, someday will help set the standard for action films in the future. also, thank you for not losing your sense of self and your sense of humor in the face of hollywood. oh and Mr. Wimmer, can i have a job?
-hehehe...

That's made my day, that has. Lovely news!
One thing that Wimmer managed to do was create something that send chills up my spine when I saw it for the first time on the big screen. I even went to see it twice, and no movie has made me do that in a long time.
Needless to say Ultraviolet will be something even more special.

What else could I possibly say that hasn't been said here before me? The only thing that comes to my mind is still the most fitting: Thank You. So I'll say it in Polish, my native language:
DZIEKUJE, MR WIMMER!!!

Kurt, thank you for making the only film I know that has stood up to its incredible hype. After reading CHUD's preview, I couldn't wait to see Equilibrium. You did not disapoint in anyway. Many people I know saw your film before me and slandered it, but they were wrong, all of them. You've got The Touch man, keep doing what you're doing! Peace!

Hype? Did I miss something? The only place I know that EQ was hyped was on the internet on certain sites & message boards. Other then that...

I guess when I think of "Hype" it is an onslaught of media coverage starting with endless promotions, trailers, teasers...posters, stand-ups, banners... the same interviews repeated over & over on ET, Access Hollywood, regular news... and ending with Happy Meal toys. I think all EQ ever got was one trailer on-line & some cyber junkies loving it. It didn't even have an official site (I can't whine about that one enough!! Unbelievable!! )
