WAIT!!! THIS THREAD MAY SPOIL THE FUN IN WONDERING HOW THE EQ EFFECTS WORK. IF YOU FALL UNDER THIS CLASS, THEN DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER. I AM NOT RESONSIBLE FOR YOUR DISAPOINTMENT!!! Neways, after looking around and watching EQ for a while I have figured out most of the effects they use. Like at the part with the sweepers(51min. 35sec. into the movie) when we first see Preston's guns come out, they had to cut the top of the sleeves to get the gun out w/out snagging them. If you play it frame by frame like I did you can see that they don't show the top of the sleeve to the audience. But if you look closely you can see how the bottom of the sleeve falls down too low for it to be connected. See for yourself! And when he did the back flip off of the motorcycle, they had the stunt double use a trampalyn. Once again, if you go f.b.f. you can tell he starts from behind the motorcycle and doesn't move forward at all, he just goes up and down. The producers had to play it fast to get it to blend in to look right. And for the "Not without inccident" part, they had to use miniature gun models made to look like the original guns so they didn't have to cut the sleeves. And, for all of you all wondering, they didn't have real wrist holsters for the movie. They had the guns clamped to pistons, that's why they never really showed the person, just the arm. They had hoses and wires up the sleeves and down the jacket. Hoped it helped and didn't ruin it for anyone!^_^ X&V -Preston

I watch EQ at Wolfwood0926's house again yesterday and we found more flaws. Now I know that a movie can't be perfect, but some of these are just too obvious! Remember the "Spikes" fight scene when it was slow motion and it showed the front view of the helmet? The person in the reflection isn't even Christian Bale !!! It's one of his stunt doubles. I suppose that the reason for the stunt double was because of the flying glass. And at the "Hall of Mirrors", the way that they edited it, it show Preston's guns having the weighed clips in before he knelt down the change them. Another flaw that can only be caught with frame by frame is at the swordfight. When the sheeth got cut to form a point and the camera was turning around the fight. When Preston went to stab the guards, the sheeth isn't cut. It's whole and blunt. And the guard that got stabbed with the sword just moved it to the right and it slid across his waist. There was another mistake when Preston and "Father" were fighting. Right after Preston broke "Fathers" finger and took his gun, when he turned around, "Father" still had his gun, and it didn't sound like he dropped it. If I'm wrong with anything then tell me, PLEASE!!! ///_-\\ P&S - Preston

About the post re: Special Effects, Libby put it as well as any of us could. There's a trick to being on a forum like this, it's replying to other people's posts and contributing to the discussions in some way shape or form. A lot of folk who don't stick around here, often just post thread after thread, wondering why no one replies. If you check the post date, the subject and so forth you can avoid that kind of problem. Ask anyone here, I made it to the amount of posts I have by: 1) Not starting threads for the sake of it. 2) Posting to only the threads that really interest me. 3) Being supportive of the other users of the forum. 4) Not blowing my stack at the board members when they're trying to help. Often people will try and point you to a direction, to help you avoid being labelled a spammer or a troll. Here endeth the lesson ;D Got to watch us Teachers

I just hope you make the best out of the worst situation. It is the children who are affected most by their parents' divorce. Just study hard and attain your goals in life.

It will always be our security blanket. Even your parents get divorced you're still their child no matter what.

I'm sorry Preston. My Dad left for South America for two years before divorcing my Mom. Needles to say, my brother and I got rather wild and ran havoc around my Mom.
Also everyone, duh! I just started a thread elsewhere that I see was already discussed before. Now I did read the frequently discussed subjects section, but I still didn't absorb each and every previously discussed topic so I could avoid them! Hey at least I'm sticking around long enough to be "yelled at" if anyone wants to chew me out!
I work full-time and I'm mom to two kids so it's amazing I get to spend this much time here. I've made a point to, lately. I seem to have a new double passion-EQ and CB.
Anyway, if anyone does want to bitch at me, I don'd mind anyway. I'm not easily shaken....though I'm often stirred....
Where did that come from? Hee-hee!

I'm just kidding about the yelling part...I was feeling kinda dumb for starting a thread that had previously been covered...
only my kids yell at me these days......Maaaa! they sound a little like bleating lambs...
Anyway, hang in there....we're with you.
