In my "get-people-to-watch-EQ" frenzy, I asked my sister who still lives in Denmark to rent the movie. I checked several video stores over here, and they all had it, so I figured that it'd be there as well. She however came back to me saying that she couldn't find it. Hmmm I figured that I'd have to look into that...
Here's what I found:
Now is that nasty or what!? I mean... what the hell were they thinking!
And no, it's no joke, I'm sad to say It's no wonder the movie never hit in Denmark, if THAT'S what people see when they go to take it out at Blockbuster. And that tagline... *shudders*

Who also excelled by rating Equlibrium (or Cubic:P) 1 out of 5, basically spending about 1 and a half page of text shooting the movie down, with statements like:
"Wimmer's ambitions are as sky-high as the man's incompetence, wich results in a movie where you spend just shy of one and a half hour cringing your toes, and feeling sorry that the actors' moron agents has gotten them involved in such a miserable piece of celluloid".
(excuse my translation fron Danish if it makes no sense)
I have however figured him out I think. I got a little pissed off and read over all his reviews (quite a few), and actually he doesn't ever write anything nice about any low-budget movies - regardless of cult-status or popularity. An amusing fact (I thought) is that he actually rated Robocop 5 out of 5 hehe.
Other than that he only rated the 'safe bets' with that score, like Close Encounters of the Third Kind and the original Alien movie.
However I can't really blame him... with that cover I'd have a hell of a hard time taking the movie serious too.
