Wimmer was being sarcastic in the fact that these underground movies that become cult hits get sequels made by the stuios without the original directors involvement.....example From Dusk Till Dawn.....lets hope the studio leaves EQ alone.....thats why i'm so glad Troy Duffy is involved in the Boondock Saints sequel because if he wasn't the movie would suck pretty bad I bet.....just like an EQ sequel would without Wimmer....

from what i know of the story (i haven't seen the movie yet, but may 13th is fast approaching) i really don't understand how the plot of a sequel would unfold?
i guess it would just be a lot more gunkata.. which might not be such a bad thing

I had an excellent fan fiction sent to me that would be an awesome concept for a sequel. He's still working on it so I can't post it yet but hopefully soon. There actually are some ideas that might work which frankly surprised even me. When it comes to sequels with a different director (not counting Star Wars because Lucas was quite involved in Empire) two come to mind that worked very well; Aliens and Wrath of Khan. That being said though I'd absolutely hate to see an EQ2 without Wimmer but it really is up to the studio that holds the rights. So far it seems though that they are pretty much ignoring the film and hoping it will go away. I could be wrong...

Not sure about a sequel, if there was I'd definately want Wimmer involved.
I think that a prequel would be interesting though, others have suggested this: showing cleric training - gotta have Gun-Kata, Father getting power, and more of Partridge's story

TEXT
Well, I was thinking a sequel would do rather nicely. If nothing else, Gun Katta rocks. This may sound rather stupid, but bear with me on this one. I was thinking that one of the Council members initiated a plan to make emergency rations of Prozium, hence the battle continues. With the additional Prozium, more Clerics are released and it has now become a stalemate. However, rumor has spread that the Army is weakening, so the Council members decide to go to all out war. Rumor has also spread among some of the Class A Clerics that Cleric Preston is now one of the leaders of the Resistance. The Council fears that such highly regarded Clerics as Partridge and Preston could go to the Resistance, than so would the rest of the Monastery. Hence, they bring their secret weapon to full production, fully functioning bio-androids. Now I know this sounds really bad, but still read on. The Council plans on destroying the entire Monastery Clerics in a massacre set up at a certain point in Libria, made to look like the Resistance caused it. They would unleash the Android clerics upon the squadron and annhilate them before they went to the Resistance. This plan goes off somewhat well, except that Preston knows about this and takes some of his personally trained Resistance men and saves the last few CLerics from annhilation. They led them down to the Undergroung HQ where they met the real leader of the Resistance, the true Father. He explained that after the assisnation attempt, the Council members took him for dead and dumped his body outside of Libria, scared that people would start revolting and they would lose control. The Resistance had found Father, and after much deliberation, Father joined the Resistance. Before Jurgen's death, it was decided that Father should be the leader. This is just for beginers, please reply, if you are going to critize please allow some suggestions and let it be logical.
