I did a couple quick searches of the forum and didn't see anything about this listed elsewhere... As a fan of Bladerunner (BR), and now Equilibrium, I'm wondering how many different editions have been released, either on VHS or DVD and what (if any) differences there are?
I ask because BR had 5 different releases, depending on the country (UK edition being longer by 2 minutes with an extended violent scene), or by the cut (director's cut being longer than original). Is there a comprehensive list somewhere of all the DVD/VHS releases for Equilibrium? Perhaps this thread could help JenGe put one together for the website?

Currently there is only one official edition the R1 (that I know of) but R2 & Japanese ones are set to be released in October. R2 will have a few extras that R1 didn't such as the trailer (not sure which version) and a few TV spots. As the new edition release dates approach I'll add their info to the site as well. If you guys spot more information on these while surfing the net please post it in this thread so I can include it. Great idea!! Thanks!! BTW, there are a number of bootlegs and I have seen this one as well but I'm really not sure what it is... cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3341000492&category=2296It states R1 but its being sold in Australia. Australia is R4 though. Anyone have a clue??

Oh, I forgot to mention there is a rental edition R2 that I've seen offered on Ebay from time to time.

I'd like to add that in Sweden, which is R2, EQ comes out in just less than 2 weeks from now! On August 20th! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) And it pleases me to hear that the R2 DVD seems to have even more little goodies than the R1. No Swedish site can yet confirm the extra material on the DVD so I have no clue, really, even if I have ordered the film almost 2 months ago. Is it supposed to include all the R2 extra goodies + the trailers etc? Or was it just the trailers? I'd like to know because I will otjerwise go for the R1 version instead! I'd actually like to have the film with Swedish subtitles (even if I don't need them) but the little behind the scenes documentary & the commentary tracks outwin any subtitles any day!

OK... so I see this from amazon.com
"NTSC format (US and Canada only. This VHS will probably NOT be viewable in other countries. Read more about VHS formats.)" So no PAL VHS...however, it doesn't list minutes so I just guess that it's the same..?
I'm assuming all other copies, on eBay or otherwise, are bootlegs? Does anyone own one and can clarify minutes/features, etc?
