I discovered the following the other day...(bahahahahah!!!  ) www.deviantart.com/view/11770656/I love it so much that I want to add a link to it. I've tried contacting the creator with no luck. What I need to know is this...if I add a link to it on the site will it effect the guy's bandwidth?? I do not have a clue how deviantart works so I'd really hate to see this person get hits that he can't handle. |

Sweet! That's some pretty hefty animation right there.
Now to your question.
Deviantart does not measure in bandwith use, so that would not be a problem.
But wouldn't it be better to actually save the .swf and then upload it here somewhere?

I don't have a clue how to work with flash though. How exactly does one save it?? I've tried before and could not figure it out.
The reason I was thinking of linking it as well is that the creator would still be able to get feed back on his own page.

Ok... I have most of my art on DA so I know some stuff about it. Firstly getting permission is smart. People on that site tend to be very serious about ripping and "borrowing" artwork.
Secondly, a link to deviantart is just fine as long as you don't link directly to the image\file, but using the address you just did. DeviantART can handle it without problems.
