Well...ooh! and wow! and other such sentiments.
How many twists and turns can you fit in one chapter? Still think our Kev is juggling too many balls...let's hope he doesn't drop any more in front of the wrong people! Anderson's real piece of work...great characterisation.
Like Jen says, I love the dialogue. I think it's amazing how you've kept the pace and plot flowing so expertly. But these cliffhangers do my head in;D
Oh...forgot to say I enjoyed the line Kevin delivers to DuPont about 'learning to knock'...nice link.

Thanks; Andersen's one of my favourites to write as well...so slimy and two-faced ;D But these cliffhangers do my head in;D Glad to hear it I'm a cliffhanger addict I'm afraid; it's more fun ending chapters like that Oh...forgot to say I enjoyed the line Kevin delivers to DuPont about 'learning to knock'...nice link. ;D Thanks. More should be along fairly soon *glances at chapter ten, at half-completed college assignment, at chapter ten and writhes in agony of indecision*

Judas, Just to let you know why I haven't commented yet. It's purely because I've had to start from the beginning, didn't want to read these chapters before reading the start - obviously Just to say though, I'm completely hooked. Keep saying to myself, I'll just read this next paragraph then I must cook dinner - 2 chapters later ..... Anyway, time to read a bit more.... will speak again soon. ;D

Oh yay, I've been looking forward to a new chapter! Kevin is a royal pain in the ass, but you can't help but root for him I had to bite my tongue when he said "I meant to do that" after hitting the wall for I was in the middle of a (very boring) software training and a loud burst of laughter would have been frowned upon. Evil you are for leaving us haning like that!

Kevin is a royal pain in the ass, but you can't help but root for him *innocent look* Kevin, a royal pain in the ass? Wherever did you get that idea? Still...he does have a lot on his plate at the moment, and as Libby already pointed out, he doesn't exactly make things easy for himself I had to bite my tongue when he said "I meant to do that" after hitting the wall for I was in the middle of a (very boring) software training and a loud burst of laughter would have been frowned upon. ;D Thanks; I'm glad to hear it (well, not about you potentially getting in trouble, of course but...erm...well, you know LOL!) Evil you are for leaving us haning like that! Evil? Me? *reaches up and hastily pushes emerging horns back under hair with a squoinking noise* Well...maybe a little LOL!

I have been neglecting my reading lately, but I'm so glad I've found the time to catch up on your works Judas! Fantastic stuff as always, and the cliffhanger at the end...a good writer definately knows how to keep their audience champing at the bit for the next episode in the saga. Ah, so you know my evil twin brother then... ;D

Excellent once again, I think I am running out of words to try and keep up with describing how good this series is. But that's not too hard to do when you have a writer of Judas' calibre.

Well...this is just getting better. I was trying to work out what it was that keeps me hooked from the first line to the last. Mostly it's the realism of the dialogue. I'm there with Kevin and the others. It's like eavesdropping on 'real' life.
Then there's the twists and turns and the trademark 'cliffhanger'.
Honestly, if you don't get a publisher for your work PDQ, then all's NOT right with the world!

Firstly..."PDQ"?
Second, what's MRSA?
Third. Another excellent portion of the Kevin Halls story. This could sound weird, but, I enjoy reading this when no one's around, because I can then actually read the dialogues out loud. Makes it a LOT more fun.
I forgot to mention this when I commented on Ashes Part 4...But it applies to this, and the rest of the site, really, as well. I haven't been around much lately because I've been disturbingly depressed. It hasn't even really been my fault, except for falling in love with a girl who lives in Boston. Long distances fucking suck. Anyway. I'm gonna be here more often now, because 1) she hasn't been online in a few days (which scares me, really), and 2) I've missed y'all.
As I said above, this is excellent. because I can find nothing else to say about it, without going into heavy repitition, I leave you with this: \m/

*blushes* Thanks guys; as always it means a lot to read comments like these ;D I'm not sure about PDQ, but MRSA stands for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It's a superbug that's apparently relatively common in UK wards; it tends to infect open wounds. To be honest, I'd not really heard of it either before I wrote this part. I had Sue (mother) staying with me the weekend I wrote this chapter; she's a student nurse and she's used to me asking weird questions about bullet wounds, drugs, hospital regs and equipment and, in this case, what could knock someone like Kevin out for three months

Ah. Thanks, Wolf! I tend to not comprehend the short forms of stuff. I dunno why. And, haha oh, to the definition of MRSA. No wonder it gets shortened.

I an SO enjoying this! You keep twisting and turning so I have no idea where it's going.
Some paragraphs...especially the ones where Kevin is desperately trying to deal with his reaction to the female sense offender...had me in stitches.
Poor Dupont must have an ulcer by now!

Mmm. Blue eyes and dark hair. My favourite combination. She seems cool...I do hope she turns up again later. Gotta love the tongue-tied-ness of Kevin, though. Haha
Anyway. This, as is always the case, was absolutely amazing. Um...I've begun to run out of new things to say...So, yeah, this rocks!

New to the boards but not new to EQ or Judas' excellent fiction! (As well as being a huge huge GIANT Sean Bean fan!) Been meaning to post for ages and have finally gotten round to doing it - loving Immune, and Taking Sides was fantastic (but I've come to expect nothing less!) - can't wait to find out how Kevin gets out of this one...or will he? Oh, it's all so exciting!! Anyway, this is me...am sure I'm going to like it here! ;D Britwitch xxx

*happy smile* Thanks Wolfie; it's great to know people are still enjoying it ;D Heh...I don't go on MSN very much; if I MSN I can't do anything else, literally (my PC usually freezes if I try to run too many things) Between internet and writing (fan and serious) something usually has to go and MSN is the first thing I close If I get internet on my other PCs, it'll make it easier And Britwitch, people seem to forget this guy, but I'll mention him anyway; it's also well worth reading Coolhand's stuff...particularly given your Sean Bean, erm, 'healthy interest' *cough*obsession*cough*
