Sorry about the wait guys but it's finally done... www.freewebs.com/equilibrium-movie/immune6.htmAs I already told Judas, the think this is my favorite chapter of her work. In fact there is one line in there I absolutely love but I won't spoil it right now...later Enjoy!!!

I agree with Jen, this chapter was brilliant. I found myself catching my breath more than once. It's only because of Taking Sides that I know Kevin makes it to Cleric and beyond, but he certainly doesn't believe in the easy route! Definitely lots of teenage testosterone sloshing around the Monastery! ;D

Well shit. Suspense is my new best friend.
Why wouldn't DuPont just kill Kevin right there on his bed? I woulda.
Wonderfully done, Judas. Wonderfully done.

It's only because of Taking Sides that I know Kevin makes it to Cleric and beyond Thanks guys for your comments; they mean a lot to me It just goes to show; to be honest I didn't think too much of this chapter myself when I sent it off *shakes head* I was half dreading the reception it was gonna get but was out of ideas to improve it (and besides, the next two parts were calling to me ) Yeah, Sides does remove a little of the suspense of Immune *sighs* Ah well...glad you're still enjoying it ;D (BTW; 'teenage testosterone'? ROFL!!! I really need to remember that one ) As for the thing with DuPont and Kevin, Stupon, well, I would say it's for the same reason Brandt didn't just shoot Preston on the streets; Grammaton agents are entitled to a fair trial Besides, DuPont usually has his reasons...not always good ones, but they're there, if that makes sense More coming soon!

*just finished reading the latest chapter* Wow...very cool Judas! How could you end like that?! I'm on pins and needles for the next installment...<G> I also just wanted to tell you thank you for your writings--I've read all of 'Taking Sides' twice through and really enjoyed it...'Immune' is very interesting as well and I like that you are developing Halls' character--it will help greatly when I read 'Taking Sides' again. I'm eagerly waiting for the next part...good work!

Oh. My. Gosh. Amazing job, Judas!! I think that's my favorite chapter so far. . . Indeed, I only know that Kevin survives from 'Taking Sides'--I certainly wouldn't have thought it several times there. . . Excellent--I can't wait for more!!

*splurgle*
I swear you must be living this Judas...the dialogue is just brilliant...I could hear Kevin and DuPont virtually spitting at each other. But what in the name of little furry kittens is Kevin doing making an enemy of DuPont? I mean, how deep a hole can someone dig themselves into before the only way out is through hell?
Oh, yes...and Barrett's incineration really made me wince!

Oh, yes...and Barrett's incineration really made me wince! Erm...wince in an involved way, I hope LOL! Living it...yep, kind of. I wrote half of this chapter...erm...*scratches head* probably just before I finished Taking Sides, so I had a fair amount of time to tweak it (Though having said that, Barrett's incineration was the last part to be added ) As for Kevin and DuPont, well...first of all it makes for a little suspense Secondly, c'mon, the poor kid's in shock, (even if he'd never admit it to himself). He's fourteen years old and he's just had to watch one of his closest friends get burned to death. Kevin's, well, not quite aware of what he's saying, if you get what I mean Still, I'm happy you're still enjoying it ;D;D;D Oh. My. Gosh. Amazing job, Judas!! ... ... ... I can't really find a word strong enough for this. Amazing comes nowhere near it.
That has to be the best death scene I've ever seen. Up until now, I thought the Pazzi death in Hannibal was best. Yours wins. ...Wow.
Through reading previous comments, I know that the ending cannot be. Yet, it's somehow still insanely suspenseful.
More! More! More! ...Sorry. Had to.

Agreed...it's like watching Apollo 13...you KNOW they get home, but it doesn't stop the nail biting and shocks. I suppose it's that quote about it being the journey that matters... ;D

Rivetting stuff as usual, Judas. I do wonder if poor Kevin ever has a good day... But I can see how these inner demons shape the character of the adult Halls from 'Taking Sides' and I'm beginning to understand some of the reasons why he made the choice he did... Jurgen...yay! ;D

Chapter 9 is in... www.freewebs.com/equilibrium-movie/immune9.htmI mentioned to Judas already how I absolutely love how she volleys the dialogue between characters. It gave me a rush just reading it. I can almost see them going at it in my mind's eye.
