Okay. In my eternal shyness I was in two minds about whether to post this, then I thought, why not? So. Firstly, after a lot of stops and starts, the sequel to the game is finally getting underway (screenshots on the way soon) Secondly, this one's going to have .vox files in it (ie, actual voices for the characters rather than just subtitles) which is kind of the point of this thread. I've got one person from the boards involved in this already. Does anyone else want to play one of the characters? If you do, either reply to this or PM me and I'll give more information. Anyone interested?

Brilliant, thanks! ;D *checks list* Only about eighty five more parts to fill now One thing...you do need a microphone (no kidding LOL!) If you can record your voice reading something, or just saying a few words (literally; the file can't be over 1MB as I've got to get it on a floppy for my other PC, long story : and send it to me, I'll mark you in ;D

;)Hey! May lady add to your talk? Where i can take Eq-game? Matrix had bother me! Hi Cleric Trinity! You're more than welcome to join in if you'd like; the more the merrier! ;D If you were looking for the first game, JenGe was kind enough to host it here on the site; www.freewebs.com/equilibrium-movie/downloads.htmPreston, to be honest I'm not entirely sure what programs you need; most versions of Windows have something pre-installed. I'll ask around, see what a couple of other people are using. As for what you need to say...like I mentioned in the PM, it would probably work best if you read two or three sentences from a book Hope this helps!

Hm...concretly? Well, first the screen was dark and in next second letters with title flew from the dark. I've read "EQUILIBRIUM REVOLUTION". After that short frames about our days, our life...and suddenly dark again. After harsh light and the he became soft, the camera started to turn around i saw Libria... again dark. And i've heard Father's voise:"Libria, I congretulate you..." and music...then again dark ... After that Game give me a chance to choose hero. I've check Preston and game started. The game was like movie, with some addition. And you can take another hero - women, like Trinity. Preston fight with GunKata, Trinity takes her possibilyties - she is in Matrix. So, this game includes Matrix and Equilibrium. Well, somthing like that...

I have to play Al Pacino on this one (Devils Advocate) and drop a weight of reality into the proceedings. Sadly there can't be a commercial EQ and Matrix cross-over, the owners of the various Copyrights would object I am sure, and I am sure that Kurt wouldn't want to be involved in the huge legalities to make such a game come true. It would have very limited appeal and be a niche game. You also have to be very careful about doing games involving such copyrights, several fan-made Alien games were canned due to the weight of Fox dropping on them like a tonne of titanium blocks. In the industry - we call this getting Foxed. Warner Brothers are notorious for doing the same thing to people who don't pay to use their Copyrighted Material and have closed several Matrix Mods for various games in the last few years. The Copyright holders of Stargate Fox'd several mods for that licence as well, it's a tricky business and just because you're small does not mean that the big fish won't eat you. I should know, I pulled out of a commercial fan project because the project lead was going to go head-2-head with Warner... But if you want a game that's got Gun Kata and Matrixness - 100 Bullets is for you. www.gametrailers.com/gt_vault/t_100bullets_e3_2k4.wmv

Of course we can, and Kurt would probably be a-ok about fan based EQ games and projects, he's proven time and time again in interviews that he's very pro-fan.
I mean we even got our own email from him on the site, sent to Jen.
I've not seen too many Director's bother to do that.
I personally don't think the Matrix and EQ universe are mutable or fit together with any kind of synergy...but I'm all for EQ based game projects.
Never know, if I have the time, I might be able to help you out with some of yours.

I personally don't think the Matrix and EQ universe are mutable or fit together with any kind of synergy...but I'm all for EQ based game projects. EQ world stands for its own. I wouldn't mix it with any Matrix elements. The final result might be more than dissapointing. As for the EQ based project - I started my own yesterday. The main problem is, of course, whether I'll finish it ( Unfortunately I tend to begin things and leave them unfinished ). But I already have a plot, a first room & a first character ( a front view ). I'll post them if you want. But there is still a long way before me, because I'm learning from the scratch. It will be a kind of detective game. I found my inspiration in Judas' game, in ClericWolf's FF"Hous of Cards" and in Libby's FF "Of Night & Light". Thanks, guys!

Hm, that would look cool indeed - but since my programming skills are nonexistant ATM ( I'm learning while designing the game ), I can forget about such ideas. Besides, my main character is a TG intelligence officer - he works using his brain rather than his firearms His task is to find one of the leading TG scientists who dissapeared in mysterious circumstances... As his investigation moves forward, it turns out, that the case is more complicated than it seemed... that's all I can tell you now

Can't wait to see it (BTW, thanks for signing my guestbook! ;D) Judas: It depends what you need, I'm not a programmer in the game industry but I am a freelance developer/writer/designer. To be honest, what I really, really need more than anything for this one is, like I said, as many people as possible to do the character voices; if you'd be up for that and have the time to do it, wonderful if not, no worries

Wow, this sounds really neat! Can't wait to see it (BTW, thanks for signing my guestbook! ;D) Thanks But you'll have to be VERY patient Currently I've got only two rooms ( the graphic isn't very nice - it's done partially in MS Paint, partially in Project Dogwaffle - don't expect very much here ) and the main character - front view and back view. As for the guestbook: You're welcome As for the voices - my friend will borrow me her microphone, which she doesn't use. I should have it on Sunday. If yes, I'll be glad to to the character voice for your game. I'll confirm my participation in your project via e-mail as soon as I get the mike.
