I think EQ and its success is fine the way it has turned out... one thing that I think disqualified it from being mainstream was all that thought Wimmer put into it. the movie, the characters, the whole topic has got so many layers, so much to think about and wonder that the average cinema dude would probably just not get it. all those "hey, I saw the biggest flaw - Brandt is feeling" topics are proof enough ;D I've "converted" a dozen people or so by now, and absolutely all of them loved it. I think that's all the proof you need that even though EQ doesn't have a huge hype surrounding it, it's brilliant. *then scampers off to McDonald's to get myself a Happy Meal* I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, but Brandt feeling was not a flaw. If you listen to the commentary, Wimmer points out that there is something wrong with Brandt's Prozium (He states this when Brandt says "Maybe I'll check in later, get my interval adjusted.") which suggests that the Prozium isn't strong enough, causing Brandt to involuntarily feel. As for mainstreaming EQ, while unpopular amonst the rest of you, I say: Unquestionably. I WANT an EQ computer game, card game, posters, costumes and props that don't require detective work to find, and maybe even books with their own stories based off of the movie. I Want an EQ first person shooter, maybe even an RTS, maybe even a board game, I want it all. Yes, I like the fact that only I and a select few know about the greatest action movie out there, but at the price of getting all that? I'd pay it gladly. BAM

Collecting a puppy would be a "Chance" Card. As for me ... this turn, I'll buy a house for my 'Section 17.'

OK ... fine! Now ... what about Sense-Offending Barbie and Cleric Ken? Of course, there are those who think that Barbie is a walking sense-offence anyway ...

I'd buy my kid an EQ Happy Meal, complete with Incinerator Nuggets and a selection of Cleric HM Toys.
