Well it looks like people are still checking this site out and I finally finished my long awaited sequel to my original EQ short story. The very first one on the site ever. Well it's done but not here yet. Jen will have it in her hands by the end of the week if not by tomorrow after 7 years of waiting. So look for an update in the coming days and thank you. Glad to hear it man! ;D Welcome back! However, we only see Jen a few times a year now, so you may wish to consider just creating your own story thread as others of us have done.

A very good backstory for the events in the movie. I also like your choice of photos to accompany it. ;D

There's definitely something that draws us all back here... ;D Aedh and Wolf were always the best at concluding their fiction. My final one is still in bits on my HD... Would be great to see some more original work back here. I was musing about the lifespan of sites like ours. Though I haven't posted in a while, I'm aware of approaching my 10th anniversary.

I wasn't aware it's already been almost 6 years that I first logged in here... and still checking from time to time, though life keeps one pretty busy...

I was musing about the lifespan of sites like ours. Though I haven't posted in a while, I'm aware of approaching my 10th anniversary. You're right... I wasn't aware it's already been almost 6 years that I first logged in here... and still checking from time to time, though life keeps one pretty busy... Generally my mother thinks that science fiction is only for unsophisticated red-necks, and she only cares for French literature, but she felt that Equilibrium was meaningful!!! But the fact that Equilibrium is both an American and European movie adds extra value and complexity to this film. When I was visiting former Soviet Block countries, I have seen an abandoned military base and army barracks almost identical to the East German army barracks where the Resistance fighters were hiding in the Nethers (at the beginning of EQ during the police raid.) Of course, I explored those decrepit buildings that were falling apart, and I re-lived EQ.
