Thanks for bringing this review to my attention. I have seen the movie Surrogates last week, but at that time I did not think of comparing it to Equilibrium. In any case, it is interesting that both films received almost the same rating score (36 for Equilibrium and 37 for Surrogates) at the website: www.rottentomatoes.com . But whatever the remote similarities might be, the fact that the movie critics are REMEMBERING Equilibrium with so much detail, is a sign that our film is immortalized! My fear is that in the long run Equilibrium will be forgotten by society, and I find this very sad...
In the case of Surrogates, once these robots are popularized by the private sector, the government gets involved in protecting this system as it sees it as an important component of life. But in the case of Equilibrium, the life-style of Prozium is directly and initially imposed on the society by the government.
