Ok, I got my Movie Insider and out of respect for Nick Nunziata and CHUD I won't scan Wimmer's interview just yet (at least not while this copy is still on the shelf)...but here are some tidbits to chew on... The interview is one page with two really kewl conceptual art images of Violet. One with her on a motorcycle and the other is a great pix of her engaged with some robot looking thingie...(excitement building) I also have to make a note of her clothes...interesting influence there...(I wonder if I can buy any of it yet) Some major points in the article & interview...(remember some of these items can change in the future) - "looking to start principal photography in January 2004" - Currently working on - Fight training, soon to scout locations in China, storyboarding, find actor to play the kid. - On the fights - "Everything we're doing is new and has never been done before. Some of the weapons we're using are traditional...but we're using them in ways that have never been seen before." - "We're also jumping off of the gun kata and really doing it the way I always wanted to do it..."

Oh...just in case any of you spot the Movie Insider at your local shops...this is the issue you are looking for. (The one with the Terminator on the cover) (on mine though, all the yellow lettering is actually orange)

I ordered my copy of Movie Insider about 2 weeks ago...haven't got mine yet. I couldn't really shell out $80+ for the subscription so I'm just buying it issue by issue. It really sucks. But the first magainze ruled all kinds of ass and the mag is well worth the price. Anyway, I can't wait for more of Wimmer's gun-kata. I don't think I can get enought of that. Ahh the agony of waiting!

Better Gun Kata? Wow... i can't wait. And Jovovich as well! That just sweetens the deal. ;D (i'm a big fan, and i really think she could do Gun Kata justice...)

I actually thought she was very good in The Messenger. Could swing a weapon and be tough yet also venerable when the scenes called for it. I think these are perfect acting skills for a Wimmer film.
She was also good in The Claim.
