I tend follow film makers over actors (Ridley Scott, Mamet, Helgeland, Shyamalan, Schumacher, Raimi, Cohen Brothers, now Wimmer) . They are usually (but not always) more reliable, IMHO.

Yes, Christian is #1, but a Wimmer movie is #1 1/2. I'm definitely going to see Ultraviolet, too.

Definitely Ultraviolet.. I want to see what Wimmer does with a bigger budget and I want to see the "amazing" action scene Wimmer hints at in one of the Equilibrium commentaries.

Hmmm...this is not easy. I chose The Machinist barely. One of my thoughts was, would EQ have been as good without Christian? I don't think so. Not that Kurt Wimmer is not a brilliant director. But Christian is my favorite actor of all time. ;D

Ack, how can you make me choose? Well, I chose The Machinist only because I have never been let down by any of his films. But I was this close to picking Ultraviolet because I wanted to more of what Wimmer promises to deliver, and that is more kick-ass action.

Oops, I accidentally clicked the 'Submit Vote' button to early and forgot to click my choice first. It says I voted for Ultraviolet, but I actually want to see The Machinist more.

That's fascinating, I usually go for the actors ;D Oops, I accidentally clicked the 'Submit Vote' button to early and forgot to click my choice first. It says I voted for Ultraviolet, but I actually want to see The Machinist more. Hence your name, fellow Balehead ;D

One thing in consideration of The Machinist...it's techinically only 3/4 of Bale.

I didn't vote: I don't know enough about them both to make a well-informed decision. I bet they're both going to be well worth the wait.

I didn't vote either because I really wonder why it always has to be OR instead of AND!

Me and my boyfriend had our "aniversary" yesterday, we arnt married, just became a couple 5 years ago to the date yesterday. So we went to see the Machinist. Now, dont get me wrong, Bale does look good, just not in this movie. Well, exept for when hes sitting at the coffiebar at the airport in the beginning and look happy then. Exept for Bale being a bloddy brilliant actor in this one, the movie is great. So I will see them both
