I was just thinking if it could be possible to have a full version of wimmer's ultraviolet script on this site. If we can't see the slightest evidence that this film exists I thought we could be given the opportunity to at least imagine Wimmer's vision in our own minds (unless that would be considered sense offence).
Cheers.

Let me be the first to tell you that the film does indeed exist.
I was one of the lucky one to catch the UV footage link before it was taken down, and it looked hawt...even as a rough cut.
Have patience and it will come. No need to see the script...it will just end up ruining the experience for you.

Well first off I have not found the script and secondly I would not put it on this site until after the film was released.
This poses though a whole new question actually about this site. Currently it is for the most part strictly an Equilibrium Fansite. I have toyed with the idea if I want to expand that to include UV beyond just a page for it. I'm still not 100% sure. I have a passion and a love for Equilibrium that few films in my life have garnered. It generates my interest in every aspect of the film. Though I am excited about UV I'm not sure it'll do the same. I don't think I can devote as much of myself to it if it does not.
Besides, the items that I still have to add to the site for EQ alone is going to take me years of work...

I'd wait with such a decision until after the film comes out. Who knows, maybe somebody else will be willing to take up the task then?

That is a good idea...the truth of the matter is I do not think that I would ever do a fan site again. I'm not saying this is not worth it because it more than is...it's a rush to work on but it is A LOT of work and time. I can only really devote so much of myself and only to something I truly love and believe in. In fact not long ago some one mentioned that I should create a "fan site" for one of their films. I told them I would never make a "fan site" again...a "web site" yes...a "fan site"...certainly not!!

not to break the positiveness here but has there been any word on ultra violet being relased?
UV would have no problem following Aeon Flux...

Or it would be seen as a rip-off and ignored (ala EQ and Matrix Reloaded).
Its supposed to come out March, 2006.

Last time I checked it had the biggest taking at the box office for an R rated movie ever. You're misunderstanding. EQ was interpreted as a rip off of Matrix Reloaded. Sorry what i said was confusing. "ala Matrix Reloaded" should of read "like how people compared EQ to MR"

Ah righti-o, I'm with you now. Its a shame people think that, if they did a bit of investigating they would know that both films were filming/in-production at roughly the same time. In fact Equilbrium wrapped their P.P. 3 months before Reloaded P.P. began. Next time you hear that, gently smack that person upside the head & tell them Google is their friend. ;D

There are some resemblances, but I don't get why people automatically think of the Matrix when they watch EQ.

Wimmer suggets thats its easy to draw comparisons between "Father's Office" and the chateaux sequence. Very similar art design. Also Neo's Outfit for most of Reloaded is similar to the Cleric get-up.
And virtually any film with gun fights these days gets compared to The Matrix. Bizzare since The Government Lobby was riffing a dozen other films. But the popular one will always get the credit.

I don't think we want to share you with another fan site, Jen!
