There was initially some confusion among my crew when I was explaining Kurt Wimmer's next project because of this UK mini series: www.imdb.com/title/tt0169501/It's named Ultraviolet and it's also about vampires. Other than that, there is no other simularities. They use ultraviolet light in order to detect vampire bites (which otherwise don't show up) which is the reason for the title. It's sort of unfortunate though that they share the same title.

I enjoyed the British mini-series. They took some familiar turns and added a nice twist. Davenport did a good job at being a sympathetic character you could root for. And I enjoyed how everything is sort of up to the viewer in terms of the organization's purpose and discovery of just how gray things were. I did a check of the forums before posting, and thought the series might have been missed. I guess it was a brief mention under a generic announcement heading? How's my spelling? *ducks*

I am a big fan of the original tv show called ultraviolet, I hope the movie continues with some the interesting ideas created in the in the tv show . Such as the vampires can't be recorded, a photo or video can't be made of them , you can't record their voice, they can't use phones to communicate . They can't actually be killed only neutralized.
I've got a feeling that this is going to be like one of those Resident evil type films.
I liked Equilibrium alot , I've watched the movie to death . Everything about it is absolutely outstanding . I hope his version of Utraviolet is as good as Equilibruim.
