Man... I really want this fim to be R now. This scene is probably a lot more graphic.
So many flying heads.

Allow me to express myself on veiwing those clips. GREAT ODIN'S RAVEN! BY THE BEARD OF ZEUS! ;D ;D Even though it's obviously been PG-13n'd (a number of blows seem cut just before they connect, or the coriography skips a beat), that's still gonna kick the chubby butt of most other action movies out this summer. Doesn't stop me wanting an R rated directors cut though.

It does look a little censored. When the DVD comes out, I hope there's an uncut version.

It's missing the bone breaking sound effects as well as the guards screaming and some dialogue between Milla and the guys who slide into the room with the stun batons.

I was just about to create a post about the clips. Normally I avoid clips, but I just had to see it. I just saw the clip on joblo and it kicked @$$!
I just saw a TV spot and IT rocked! It showed some of those soldier balls flying into the windows of an office building.
Now I really can't wait. 15 days to go!

The new clip looks incredibly cut up (the one in the white room). I mean all the sound effects for the kills are missing, the movement isn't continuous... I really hope these were edited down to serve as online clips and arn't representative of the film on March 3rd.

It might actually be the case that those clips were further censored for net/TV release. I remember seeing a similar preview clip for blade Trinity in which certain violent frames, shots and "fight" effects were removed, as well as some dialouge. I think studios might do that to ensure the clip gets as widely circulated as possible, and is as short as possible.
Certainly if sound effects and dialouge are missing then that would certainly point towards this being the case. Even the most useless editor/studio exec knows you can't just obviously yank whole sound effects out of a professional presentation. You have to cover thier absence with a bit more flair than that.

The film wasn't really bloody. There were only a few scenes that featured some mild gore (body parts sliced off and stuff) but almost every shooting or stabbing had no blood in it, which is one of the things I noticed when I first saw it. I do remember the "white" fight being more brutal due to the sounds of slicing and bad guys crying out in pain. The post above could be correct and this could just have been edited down for the clips.

Did anyone else notice in the "white room" clip that Wimmer uses a sequence that he couldn't do in EQ? The one where the broken blade flies up into the camera. That is the "bullet" scene from EQ's storyboards. He comments about it on the DVD... These guns, by the way, are modified Berettas. We put cladding on them. I chose the Beretta because it was the only gun that could be modified to have top ejection, or could be easily modified to have top ejection. Most guns have right port ejection, and I very much wanted to have a gun that would eject straight out the top and the reason for that was... it's coming up here momentarily. When he fires the gun, you see the shell going through the right-hand part of the frame there? Well I thought in my fantasy world that I could reliably get the shell to come up and hit the camera. Well, in the time-frame I was dealing with, that was never going to happen, and I realize now that if you're going to do that then you're just going to have to do that digitally. It would probably work a lot better anyway. That was the idea, but it pays off a little later at the end of the movie in the scene where he's going down the hallway, because he has the guns turned sideways and you see the shells crossing out of the tops of the guns, creating an X, so it pays off a little bit there. But ultimately it was a fair amount of work and expense that didn't pay off in any sense. DVD CommentaryStoryboard see #39

im sorry but the music they used for the trailers all of them, were crap! they sounded really cheap, like if they were created on my computer or something. i really really hope thats not the same music they use in the film, it just didnt feel right when i saw them. and also it does seem cut/edited. but hopefully thats not the case in the film.
other then that i cat wait till the 3rd!!!! wooho!
