"it was the shit was better then aeon flux to" what the hell does that mean? If you are saying that UV was better then aeon flux then im going to have to disagree with you. I think Aeon Flux was at least finished and it did have some imagination and was well executed were as UV was not. but thats just me. I actually wouldnt mind watching Aeon Flux again but if UV was on tv and I had nothing better to do, Id still change the channel, it was that bad.

If you do not think that UV had Imagination than you certainly did not see the same film that I saw. I'll give you the fact that it was "unfinished" but it contained plenty of imagination. In fact, I would say that it almost suffers from too much imagination and innovation on too small of a budget.
As for execution the Blood Chino sequence alone was far superior and better executed than any of the action scenes in Flux. Even Steel Dawn, though a poor film overall, has better action execution than Aeon Flux.

Ultraviolet is much better than Aeon Flux. Milla Jovovich looks so good as "UV" and Charlize Theron didn't look good as "Aeon Flux"! The Action of UV is really groundbreaking and Aeon Flux was just lame Action with an actress which can't fight and move smooth, like Milla Jovovich did. Just think about the "lobby scene" in UV (Unrated Cut), it's just so damn good and the music of Klaus Badelt(I hope it's his music) makes the scene over the top.

I find the comparisons to Aeon Flux sort of amusing, since they have almost the same flaw but in different ways: They are overproduced.
I enjoyed Aeon Flux in the theater. It was slick, good production design, decent enough story, and a few interesting visuals/ideas. But the end result was too slick. It somehow seemed rather bland and soulless. I liked it, but I don't want to buy the DVD. I'm not sure if there was a directorial vision or hand in the thing...or whether it was done by committee.
I was aghast at Ultraviolet in the theaters since it was overproduced (Sony) and attacked by Sony Pictures editorial weedwhackers. You knew there was a soul there, tons of style, lots of bravado, and really cool ideas/visuals. But I couldn't enjoy it because I was frustrated at the lack of a story. And the cuts seemed to cheesify the dramatic scenes. It drove me nuts. I was angry at the film's treatment. And yet I'm still getting the unrated DVD version.

Yeah I know what you're saying Aikido Al. I couldnt stand it while i was watching UV in the theater. It looked pretty bad. I know that if UV had the budget and a better screen writer, oh and better leading lady that can act, oh and also a better visual effects team. It would be better then aeon flux. i dont want to buy aeon flux either, but i dont even want to look at the UV cover.

To anyone who does like UV: NOW is the time to pre-order thru your local video store. I put mine in today. (3 copies!) Yes it costs a bit extra--mine were @ $27 instread of the $18 that Walmart will be charging--but movie companies pay special attention to pre-order figures when they figure a director's $$ potential, and hence his budget for his next movie **ahem, hint hint** To JohnPrestonCleric: Glad you liked it. (How did they translate "Watch me?" You've got me really wondering now.)

I think UV was to cliche to me. Think about it Milla again infected with a virus and at the same time she's protecting a annoying kid. Hello people that sound too much like RE:Apocalypes gone wrong and apocalypes was flawed as well so it was worse. The imagination is there like jenge said but I think Aeon Flux was more entertaining because it did not leave gapping plot holes like they did here. And gun-kata I'm sorry it was poorly executed buy milla she tried to do it faster then Bale but she came out looking like she's having a siezure. No one can do Gun-kata like Bale and Kurt Wimmer. Kurt is the man but you know what ever great director is entitiled to have a few bad movies and this is one of them.

I'm gonna have to side with UV. I hated Aeonflux. Charlize Theron was hotter, but the movie was boring and I couldn't root for any characters. And I thought the fights scenes were a joke.

Ultraviolet set a new standard.
A new standard in editing your movie in the most uncomfortable and alienating ways possible.
That's a BAD THING, just for the record. I hated it.
