I know I'm WAAAY late in joining the party, but I just dusted off my Max Payne 2 and found this mod online and installed it, and wow!!! I am a huge fan of Equilibrium (so much so that I even went to see Ultra Violet in the theater in hopes that it would be the same quality), and ever since I first saw gun katas in action, I had wanted to play them in a game. Now, thanks to you guys, I can. And it is awesome! I'm still getting the feel of them in the game, but the feel of just walking in the middle of a bunch of guys and pulling off a few katas and watching them all fall around you is exactly what I imagined it would be in a game. And you managed to do it all in a way that didn't just make them an "autokill everyone" kind of thing. I like how you broke them down into several key animations, where the player then has to apply skill and strategy in pulling them off without dying.
I know it's very after the fact, but kudos to your team for making a mod that I will keep playing for a long, long time!

I'm not sure how many of the original team are around and active, I know Mr. A pops in however and when he's less busy he'll probably post something.

Its great to see people are still discovering our mod... just like they are still discovering the movie.
Glad you enjoy playing it tiger! Rico deserves much of the credit, he essentially did all the coding & animation for the combat system of this mod (he actually had to learn animation because of this mod - because we couldn't get a decent animator to help us!).
And its been out pleasure to provide the first Equilibrium game experience for well over a year now!

And its been our pleasure to provide the first Equilibrium game experience for well over a year now! And it's still the more "playable" one IMO. Not to bring up any old rivalries or anything, though. It's just a pain to have to be running to pull off some of the better katas in that other mod, even though it does double the amount you have at your disposal. Sometimes simpler is better, though. Anyway, I added a link to your mod (and the other one, to be fair) to the Equilibrium page on Wikipedia. Maybe that will get a few more EQ fans to check it out.

Hey tigerwiccan,
Glad to hear you're enjoying the mod! I still check these boards fairly regularly and I'm always happy to see people posting their thoughts on our hard work. Thank you for the kudos and be sure to keep an eye on us in the future! Spread the word!
