No I'm not the MPAA...(LOL) I was wondering what the HoM team plan to do if the copyright holders (whomever they are) come knocking? If I were Kurt Wimmer, I would hire you guys in a second. I believe that getting this mod into a polished retail product would bring Equillibrium the attention it rightfully deserves. Such a pity that an excellent movie was largely ignored and under promoted.

Lol, they don;t make any profit of it. So they can't do anything against them.

Well, not technically true. If HoM hasn't got permission the company could request they discontinue the mod. We call it being 'Foxed' in this business -- happened with several mods, Aliens for Quake and at least one Stargate Mod got shut down.
But since we know Kurt Wimmer sometimes frequents the site, or at least keeps tabs, I doubt the HoM team have anything to worry about.

I think Kurt will embrace the mod, not shut it down. But, hey!, you never know

I think there would have been a CAD order by now if that was the case, so personally I'm of the opinion - everything is a-ok.

Kurt actually would have very little to do with the copyright of this. It would be Miramax/Dimension who would come knocking. So far they have ignored the fact that even my site is stretching copyright limits. I don't see why they would make a fuss now.

If anything, Miramax/Dimension might actually make a little money through more sales of the DVD - for those who've not seen Equilibrium but have played the game. It can only give the film more exposure.
And it was never our intention at any stage to violate copyright, but as an Equilibrium themed game has never been professionally made & in all eventuality never will - someone had to step up. And I'm glad I was a part of that. Even if the mod was discovered today & deemed to be a "bad thing" by the suits of the company, I can still be happy in the knowledge that we made the first true Equilbrium experience for gamers worldwide.

I'd be behind you regarding this Mr. A anyways, so I am sure GX would support the mod. You're not making any money and there are tonnes of Star Wars mods out there as well as other film/tv/movie and so on.
And I am supremely proud of all of the HoM team.
