With work on our first release almost coming to a close I have had some time on my hands to start experimenting once again and come up with new stuff. Some of you may have already gotten a small taste of it in the suggestions thread. Here, I'll be posting a preview of what you might see in the next version. It'll be updated with each new development. Thoughts? Comments? Questions?

I saw your post in the 3d realms forum and i was like holy ****. Then i saw the post by MentalSentinel and i started swearing madly due to the fact that i found his post to be rude towards one of the other amazing features that you have added into this mod. But seriosly these are some nice features that you have going on.
P.S. do you need anyone else on the team. I can do modeling and skinning, a tad bit of coding (stress tad), and and i am pretty much a jack of all trades. I have many years experience in basic game development. But that is still pointless ocnsidering that i dont have an account of these forums right now. But if you are still interested please reply to this post.
P.P.S. very sleepy so if i didnt mak sence above please disregard.

Heh, I've never seen grappling in a MP2 mod before. Looks friggin' awesome. May I ask what the estimated file size will be? Not that it's a problem, it's just the CTT mod was only eight mb.

In the first release, will we be able to play through the normal max payne 2 story and levels, using the preston skin and gun-kata moves/new weapons?

Not using the preston skin, but yes, you'll be able to use the new moves and weapons in the normal Max Payne 2 story.

oooh... i thought that was already done, that the lvl's and skins for preston were made... and it was the first release of the TOTAL conversion..
so wer gonna play the dull crappy short p**syfied coat max payn? aww man preston pwns alot mor..
what can we see in the first release ? i mean.. those 120's gotta have summin in

hmmm, then what about the new levels? Are they just DMW maps, or are they actual story maps that we can play in a linear fashion (Aka Max payne 2 story mode)

These are all good and very simple, doable ideas:
-Realistic damage - guards only need to get hit 2, maybe 3 times before going down. -The white sweeper/guard guy from equilibrium. There guys are only seen in one area - just outside Preston's apartment when it is being searched. They look EXACTLY like the regular sweepers, helmets and all, except they have white coats. All you would have to do is invert the texture. These guys are armed with FN P90s, which are awesome guns all around. -FN P90 for preston, possible dual FN-P90. -Dual Shotguns and Gun-kata. I see you're already working on this. Good show. -I see you've already got the G36. You'd benefit from a one-handed G36, and dual G36, and Gun-kata for each. There's really no reason not to put it in. It's unrealistic, sure, but so are dual shotguns, and so is Equilibrium, period. -Melee secondary function - spikes on the sidearms! No need to make tons of different animations for it, just a simple whacking animation. -A bindable spawn button, if not, a hidden wall switch like in the MP1 training level.
Also, in real life, it wouldn't really make sense to make a almost as powerful as a G36, but this is a video game. Just something to consider.
I hope the sweeper in that first picture there gets BLOWN back against the wall.

I would like to see some context sensitive stuff, like sweepers have some stances they preform in given times, like the shotgun thing, two sweepers on ur sides like in the movie, then u press some action button and Preston preformes a move accordingly, should be plenty of these in the mod.
I would hate to see this mod ruined by Press directional button + mouse 2 = Gun kata move that u have to aim urself. it would be shitty.

These things take time, but we've all seen images and clips from the game, so we know just how magnificent it is going to be.
It certainly won't hurt to hang on a little longer
