Dont make complicated controlls =). Some flip shooting would be cool but i saw one in the trailer. Side wall run, and like someone mentioned melee would be nice. Throwing object or gun at enemy, make submisions on people. I know it sounds like karate movie but it would be cool

Maybe have different types of Gun Kata. Have the usual crouch Gun Kata but you could also have Gun Kata for secondary moves. E.g. Gun Kata 1, Gun Kata 2, Gun Kata 3. That would be cool.

How about the ability to hold down the gun kata buttons so that you hold the pose right after you kill everyone.
Ooh, this just occured to me, how about cool replays of really stylistic killings, from different angles and in slow-mo and stuff. And if you end the killing by holding a cool pose, it'll have them all drop dead at the same time (a la nethers alley scene) as you strike the gun kata pose.

hmm im not sure if this is off topic lol.. but .. Auto aming? that would prolly be the coolest thing.. like.. if you DL close to the truth mod wich also has the gun kata system.. i was wonder .. is it the same as Hall of mirrors.. in the mod you press the C button and you do the action 6 man kill like in the movie where preston finishes off 6 ppl with the gun kata moves.. ( after the lill puppy says vuff) but problem is the men that are in the crossfire may not be hit if done wrong.. i was then wondering.. will it be autoaming after the nearest enemy? or do you have to be placed correctly?

That would be a good idea. Auto Aiming. It's annoying on the CTT mod when I do gun kata then there is some twat still wandering around like some dumb fool. But I suppose it would be a bit hard as you wouldn't really be able to suddenly change the anim. to the direction of the guy. At least the HOM team can try!!

Exacly! haha its nearly impossible to do the whole gun kata move without some dork running around shooting you, after you'r in the gun kata finish pose... and you feel all cool.. but you hit 3 out of 10 men haha. i wouldn't leave out the option of the HOM team already thought of it and could make it

If someone hasnt said it yet, I think a training level buit for the gun kata system would be very cool and also help get the player get familiar with the targeting system. Also disarms (Like in the Dead to Rights series) would be very stylish. Wall running would be cool but its not really EQ. A combo counter/rating sytem could be cool too, for the people that really want to show off the Hom skills. Still the mod looks great so far.

Definately a cool animation when chosing the weapon Like in the movie, when his pistols just slip out of his sleeves Would add much to the style in my opinion And I'd also like being able to shoot with only one of the cleric barretas. Dual-wielded pistols are very cool for sure, but still I also find single pistols very stylish Lastly I guess the ability to play through the actual Max Payne 2 levels with Preston and GunKata would also be a nice way to increase the variety of the mod

I think a unique feature to the game would be how prozium injections would affect the cleric, like if the cleric has a high level of prozium in his system, he becomes more focused, and so his shots are a lot more accurate (allowing one shot kills with pistols, decided randomly), but with his prozium levels at a lower level, he becomes consumed with rage, so his rate of fire increases (a speedier trigger finger ), and his melee attacks (pistol whipping, sword attacks, etc) deal more damage, and he can enter a semi-state of bullet time (not as slow as MP2's bullet time, but slow enough to simulate the fact that the cleric's adrenaline is really pumping), but consequently, his defense drops (enemy bullets deal more damage) and his accuracy also suffers a hit. maybe it could be some weird system of prozium and anti-prozium injections??? i know it's probably way too complicated for a game function!!

Human Shield and multiple disarms like in Dead To Rights a game by Namco a nice NEW introduction more than the poor introduction in MP2 and why not dual wielding with DIFFERENT GUNS in each hand Thank you !

People seem to be requesting a lot of things that wouldn't work in an Equilibrium mod. You have to remember that the whole combat system is based around precision and efficiency. Adding wall runs, flamethrowers and things is a bit too Matrix-like and wouldn't fit in my opinion. I realise that this mod doesn't have to be rigidly loyal to the film, but the gunkata system is meant to eliminate the need for spraying hails of bullets everywhere, running up walls, using human shields and blowing everything up.
Melee combat would be nice, but could get fiddly when the player is fighting multiple opponents and can't decide whether to stick with guns or switch to close combat. Max Payne Kung-Fu irritated the hell out of me because of this, I spent half the time fighting the controls trying to switch between kung fu and weapons and in the end I decided that it was just easier to stick with guns and forget about kung fu. If melee combat is considered, I would recommend it as something very easily accessed, without any weapon switching, maybe an alternate firing mode for the pistols or something.

well....these are just some in=game movies that I am suggesting: (Starting)the 1st fight at the warehouse...where the masked guys enter the building and Prestons cars arrives(Endz) (Strating)The Cleric is training with the katama....and then Brandt appears like in the movie(in-game mov endz) (starts)when Prestons is making the feeling test....Brandt leaves...he has no more feeling...and gets his guns out(endz) (Starts)When he is entering "Fathers" office..those guys appear..and circle him(endz) (Starts)Brand says to Prestons 2 take care of the uniform cuz hes planing 2 keep it.....does that sword scheme(endz)--then joo start 2 fight him (Starst)Brand face falls off ) and then "father" says:Be carefull Preston joo are stepping on my dreams(ends) ----then u would do that pistol fight like they did....really liked that part...when they were dodgeing the gun (starts)"Father" saying that he feels...that dialog with Preston(ends) Then u walk donw the door and start destroying some PC-s (Starts)When Preston goes to the T symbol and see's the explosion....and everything is back 2 normal(CREDITS) Weapons:::: Pistol|Dual Pistols|those spikes from the pistol were Preston wacked those armed guys Rifle Gun Sword IP:

He means in the big corridor fight before confronting "Father", when Preston throws the two pistol clips along the floor before he starts fighting, then half-way through the battle he rolls onto them and reloads. That would be tough to incorporate since it relies on the player being in the right place at the right time, and you can NEVER predict what the player is going to do.
