I tried Advent Rising, it's a very cool game, really great cinematic feel to it. It gets a little boring though.

i actaully enjoyed path of neo for the pc. th eonly bad thing about the pc version is the graphical errors you get such a characters turning black and such but if you ignore that (hard to do at first) the game is pretty damn good for a movie based game. Its still not game of the year material but it is certianly better than ETM and MXO combined.

No review from me yet. My Radeon 9800 pro is crapping out. Can't do much more than surf and even then I have to reboot every hour to let the card rest. Getting all kinds of funky artifacts. Ordered a 256meg X800GT, should be here soon. Good thing too, I got games coming out of my ass, PON, The Movies, Narnia, COD2, Quake4, Battlefront2, And I hear NFS Most Wanted is due this week. AOEIII has already been regulated to Lan partys only and I managed to finish Serious Sam 2 before the card crapped out...

Pretty decent game. The combat rocks, but the graphics are pretty choppy on PC. ATi cards must run the game at 8 detail max, because anything above 8 runs pixel shader 3.0 and AGP ATi cards do not support it. I hear console is the way to go with it, but after I worked out all the little bugs it ran fine on my machine (Pentium 4 2.8, Gig of RDRam, X800 Pro, Soundblaster Audigy 2 Plat.).
The gunplay can be difficult while maneuvering but you eventually get the hang of it, and if not there is a mouse sensitivity setting and I also believe there is a target lock system you can turn on. The burly man scene is probably the best in the game, for the same reason that made it awesome in the movie. I would mention the final boss fight but I don't want to spoil anything with the new ending. If you're a fan of the movie, or a fan of fighting games in general you will enjoy it once you can look past the bugs with the pc version.

Mr. A, where you are is regioned to PAL right m8? It surely is my fine, fenris friend! ;D Now that I have finished the bulk of my tasks with HoM, I have time to actually play both the PC version & PS2 version, so here are my thoughts. The PC version I played first, and while I was initially impressed, as time went on I began to become a little dissapointed in the framerate issues & texture clipping (mainly on the characters) it was having....I stopped playing after completing the first Kung Fu training mission due to this & the control system of the PC. The one good thing about it though is moving the camera with the mouse...thats one thing that is better on PC. I had minimum PC processor according to the box, but better video card (256 meg GF6600) & double the RAM in case you're wondering what my specs were. So I took a leap of faith and lashed out to buy the PS2 version despite these issues and I can honestly say I'm glad I did (it also didn't cost me that much - already had 50 bux in Kmart vouchers & a $10 off coupon, so I only had to fork out $24 more). Seeing as this game was made primarilly for console, its not surprising it shines on PS2 - the framerate issues are all but gone & the control system is spot on for using the PS2 game pad - and trust me you need every button available! The combat & animations are sublime & it can be easy to pull off some great combos & attack multiple foes at once or be promted by button icons appearing at certain times to do a finishing move or land on your feet after an attack while you're still learning. I'm only just past the layfette level into the basement (after Neo sees the Oracle & then they are trapped inside that building where they need to find the "wet wall") but I'm having a blast & the new additions to the storyline & levels are really quite good so far. The black & white Samuari level particularly is sweet. So if you are going to get this game, my recommendation is to get on console if you can as you will find it a much more pleasurable experience. I give the PS2 version a very solid 8 out of 10.

Dude, wait until you get further on in the game...if you think the combat system is good now, heh, you have to see some of the stuff Neo can do later on *GRINS*

Well I finished it on Saturday, and I must say that was up there with your Devil May Cry's (1 & 3) for a thoroughly entertaining game.
I did love the new ending with the new CG footage, very cool but I was in fits of laughter during the introduction to it from Larry & Andy - honestly this is why I love these guys so much, they not only do they know whats cool but they don't take themselves too seriously at the same time.
Bravo fellas, bravo.
Its not perfect by any means (there are still a few issues like doing a finishing move on thin air because your enemy is already dead), but it satiates this fans longing for a decent Matrix game, and I think I can quite happily get a lot of replayability out of some of the battles. And I've still yet to unlock all the extras.
Upon completion I think I can give it an extra point on my review to bring it to a final score of 9 out of 10.

Excellent. As far as I can tell since the PS2 doesn't try and do any of the really insane fancy Xbox/PC version graphic touches it gets away with.
1) Smoother framerates. 2) Better gameplay. 3) Less things that go wrong with the camera.

I've got a lot of games that don't work on my CPU ( Fable: Lost Chapters, The Matrix: Path of Neo etc.). Why? AMD Duron 800mHz , GF2mx and 384sdr says it all ... ; /
Living in Poland sux - you'll never have enough cash for a new cpu ; /

Path of Neo was an embarrassment. Actually felt like a cruel joke. Give these boys a few million and let them make a Matrix game.
