first impression
ok I d/led this to have a look....and I think I'm pretty annoyed...I'm not a fan of Fight Club, I appreciate it on a technical/objective level but I don't agree with many of its statements.
That said, I think turning it into a 3d beat-em-up is a cheap trick. They missed the point of the whole fighting thing. It's not about the fighting per se.
first impression is it's a marketing trick to snag the film's fans without caring too much about the fighting's context. what pisses me off is that it's probably going to work.

It looks totally facile, but it also appears to be the kind of game you'd want to play with your friends after you've staggered back from a night out on the town. Should be a good laugh if you ask me, although I fail to see the connection to either the film or novel; it would have been better if they called it Basement Scuffle or Hooligan Arena: The Reckoning or something.

As a fan of the book / movie my initial reaction to the impending game was it would be a crappy movie tie-in. However, having read a bit about the game it does sound like it might actually be quite good. We will just have to wait and see...

I am Jack's gleeful anticipation.
Just hope they get Brad Pitt and Ed Norton (and Meat Loaf) to provide character voiceovers.
