Well, what can I say, this game is the shit. Possibly the best game I've ever played. It ranks up there with the original, and games like Deus Ex and System Shock. This is more than a game, it's an interactive adventure disguised as a FPS(first person shooter). The game sucks you right in with the opening movie and walks you through some non-combat areas to get you used to the controls. I loved how your contact in the beginning is Barney the cop from the Half-Life add-on Blue Shift. It gives you a sense of continuation of the story. From there it's kill or be killed as you weave your way through the story. The graphics are excellent but not quite up to Doom 3 levels(not really a suprise) and the gameplay exceeds D3 in every way. The world is fully interactive, you can pick up and throw almost anything(hitting NPC's with bottles has been a fun side game) and all the interaction makes for some standard but fun puzzles. I'm about 2/3rds through the game and unless the ending is horrible this will easily be the best PC game of the year, if not of all time. I hope other game companies are watching and learning, if someone like Monolith or Ritual can do something like this using the Doom 3 engine, look out...

Soon I get to review Half Life 2, if only I could stop playing it for long enough to write the review for Sierra/Vivendi.

Ah yes, half life 2. I bought a completally new computer for that game and I don't regret that a bit (Since I also could play Doom 3 and World of Warcraft on it) I was stunned of the graphics and the physics, had a lot of fun with the gravity gun. Someone should make an equilibrium mod for it . When it comes to System Shock (you mentioned it as one of the greatest games in history, yay), the game where the only bad ting was the graphics... Immagine system shock 2 storyline and location with the Doom 3 engine... Now there is your perfect game.

Well, to finish this review.. the ending sucked ass. Figures. At least they didn't throw in the jumping puzzles from the first game. Still worth playing, just don't expect much from the ending...
