In 12 Days My life will change forever and most likely, I'll become even more of a ghost around here ;D ;D ;D To Explain Halo would be Easy: It's the future, You're a augmented cyborg Marine with an impeccable track record, as far as mission success goes, and now you're on a ringworld trying to fight your biggest fight ever. In the end, you not only win this fight, but you survive to fight another day........... Halo2 summary: The day to fight again is upon you, and as you take up your weapons once more, It's not just your fight anymore, but Earths' as well....... This is my little summary, for two kick ass games, and If you don't own an Xbox, why not?? More detailed summary to arrive about Nov.12-13th or so.....

While good, I think Halo--with it's blocky graphics, pathetic weaponry, and undrivable/unflyable vehicles--is one of the most overrated games of all time, and because of this I'm not getting my expectations up about Halo 2.

If anything, to me anyway, Microsoft is the sign of good games - I mean these are the guys who published Age of Empires and Solitaire (truly the greatest games on the planet!). Just a shame that they tarnish it with endless flight sims. Oh well.

Halo on the PC was horrible. Never played the XBox version. I have talked to people who have played Halo2 (don't ask) and they say it's a slightly improved version of Halo. The only really new addition is the ability to use 2 guns at once. Other than that it's more of the same with better maps and graphics. Which is probably a good thing for the XBox, but they better fix the damn PC version if they want me to shell out...

Just played Halo 2. Plays just like Halo which is a good thing. Honestly there is not much different, but new weapons, some subtle new moves and nicer graphics.
My only complaint is that multiplayer encourages campers. The radar range feels shorter then before and there arn't any damage arrows that indicate where you getting hit from. Its extremely annoying and keeps snipers very well hidden.

Funny to read through this thread. My teen sons are currently in line for the 12:01 AM time. Just FYI my 3 year old killed me in Halo one in about 10 minutes.

Not an Xboxer so didn't even know you could take off radar. But how is less cheap. It hardly seemed to work for me. It almost never lets me know when someone is right beside me. How's it work in Halo 2

How's it work in Halo 2 in the original, you could use the radar to locate hidden players all around the map, in halo 2, the radius has been shortened quite a lot. second opinion- i think hyped killed the game for me. i would still love to go play with friends but given a choice between san andreas and this, id say san andreas hands down.

Finished the game........ I'm pissed . If you own it and finished it as well then you should know why...... All in all it was a great game. I enjoyed the new maps, the storyline, and the graphics were killer. I also liked the more checkpoints, as in a few spots I was happy they were there. All in all, It was a good time killer, and I'll definately play it again, but for some reason, it actually left me wanting more towards the end..... If nothing else, rent it, and try it out...... All that money made has to tell you that bungie got at least a few things right, ya know.

Apparently if you complete it on Legendary Mode then some date gets mentioned in the credits. Think it's March or May or something. Anyway, people reckon that it's the release date for Halo 3 and that the games were developed simultaneously. Or so I have heard.

Deimos They want bungie to release halo 3 when the PS3 comes out to combat the new system. If they will be able to do that is unknown.
