Awhile back, out of boredom, I ended up buying the d20 Modern Core Rule Book. Since buying it my friends and I have yet to come up with a setting we really felt was worthy of our time in creating it. Well, just a few minutes before sending this post, we finally resolved to have it set in the Equilibrium universe. As we began to talk about it, we realized it was perfect for this in everyway possible. So we have made it our personal project to create custom rules and features for the d20 Modern set, that will allow a person to play within the world of this great movie. I am a psycho about details, so trust me when I say it will be a long and complex journey. If you have suggestions and/or comments, or any info or links you feel could be useful to us, please reply. I wish to present the results of this project on this sight when it's complete, so that others may benefit from our hard work. Alot of people tell me I'm a good writer, so i've also considered posting our own story as it develops (Much like alot of computer RPG stratedy guides do). If you think this is a good or bad idea, feel free to tell me. I just figured it was something I could post since there's not much else about Equilibrium that hasn't been covered. If you read this, thank you for your time and have a nice day.

Myself, I'm not an AD&D player, but I dig everything RPG-related ad I'll be glad to see what you guys can come up with. As for whether is a good idea or not, well, if you have fun doing it it's surely one (a bit of wisdom I snatched from "the formula" . Good luck!

From a professional RPG and game developer, just be careful of the IP owners and their property - you'll do fine.
I wish you the best of luck with it, I would love to contribute but it would sadly be looked upon as a conflict of interest.
You should be ok since it's non-profit based but I have seen other RPG efforts of movies to games 'Foxed' as we call it.

Are you talking about publishing this, or just creating the world for people to play in? My husband does this everytime he creates a new campaign, except for the publishing part. This time, though, he's considering it because he's working with a friend who publishes. It's alot of work, alot of research, alot of mapping. For those wishing to accomplish the same without alot of work, you can do so with already published materials. I think you could adapt alot of the monk and oriental classes: www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ag/20011012aGuns kinda screw things up, though. I briefly played Macho Women with Guns. Didn't last long. I prefer slower weapons. I've considered doing the same, although in a much more vague format. My game format of choice is Nobilis, which is more of a combined storytelling session than rolling dice. It will be interesting to see what you do, please update with your progress.

All concepts placed herein are owned by their respected creators and/or publishers, and I have no plans whatsoever to profit from any of this, furthermore, I would like to recommend that anyone interested in the d20 Modern RPG premise to check it out at a RPG retailer near you or online. Lastly, I would like to state that the weapons expansion book, "d20 Modern Weapons Locker", is a valuable resource for those interested in gun research, even if not interested in the game, and has fantastic drawings of an unbelievable amount of real-world guns. Well, that should cover me legally, wouldn't you say.
