Due to a minor incident today I have changed the options of the forums to posting for members only. Guest will no longer be able to post but they will still be allowed to read the threads & discussions.

I don't want to sound too nosy, but what kind of incident was it?
As for the idea itself: it makes sense to me. If someone is really interested in our discussion, then he or she will take his/her time to register.

There will always be those that abuse the system, just to rock the boat...good one Jen.

Well, I saw it, so I'll quickly explain.
Some moron came on and started posting new threads, all with the same content, which included a link to a very disturbing image.
So, thanks be to Jen for getting rid of it all.

Thanks for explaining to me the situation, Stupon. And yes, this restriction is a good idea to prevent similar abuses - or at least to gain more control and discourage such an individual from further posting.

No, actually. They went, for the first few, by the name of EQ fanatic, which causes me to vaguely recall someone of the same name. Also an asshole, I think.
After a few posts, they changed to Revenge of the NERD!. I dunno.

I managed to miss all this...but it's good idea, Jen. I think you were brave to allow guest posts at all, given some of the twinks out there!

After a few posts, they changed to Revenge of the NERD!. I dunno. Well I was referring to the horrifying picture. I was hoping it wasn't Goatse, which is a website that is, quite frankly, an abomination. It's an Internet phenomenon and quite possibly the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. If it was a link to that that he posted then there's a circle of hell reserved especially for him. Deimos

Haha. No, it wasn't that. It was an interesting bit of coding, though, from an html perspective. The site itself, when you click the link, changes, and the address becomes the jpg title. It's hard to explain. But, even though it wasn't Goatse, it was still pretty frickin' sick.
