And Libby...Con Air...are you serious. That movie sucked major ass LOL! I think it's hilarious. Lots of naff plotlines all rolled into one with John Malkovich hamming it up, Colm Meaney trying to be serious, Steve Buscemi out-Hanniballing Hannibal and of course a seriously buff Mr Cage! ...oh and some of the funniest quotes... 'Make a move and the bunny gets it!'

Hmm. That sucks that it's freezing you PC the file has to be corrupted. I am glad with the ending they used in the release cause I have seen the alternate endings on the DVD and they were confusing and they sucked big time.

Just finished seeing There Will Be Blood. It's one of those film that is filled with heavy but also great dialogue that will not bore you. Daniel Day-Lewis give an awsome performance it's a good thing he got the Oscar he earned it. And I just bought the first three volume of the Death Note Anime series I was never into Anime TV series but this is the best anime series I have ever seen. Can't wait to get the fourth vloume later this April.

Just picked up "Ice Pirates" on DVD ... man everything really IS out there if you just look hard enough. Even "Cannibal Women In The Avocado Jungle Of Death" is available ... Full Moon picked it up. For those not in the know--Full Moon Video is the most righteous video production company EVERR!! Definitely run by a fellow Evil Genius. Now if you'll excuse me ... I'm a bit behind on my plottin' and schemin'!!

Ok lets see..... seen quite a few movies recently.
Chaos - wasn't all that great Sweeny Todd - was a lot darker than I remembered the story being but visually stunning Walk Hard - pretty funny and entertaining Meet the Robinsons - could have been really good but it was all over the place and hard to follow at times The Good Year - boring as hell and thought it would be better Ratatoullie - entertaining but not my fave pixar movie Lars and the Real Girl - I thought it was going to be better than it was...... Dan in Real Life - was actually a decent movie
I was also in the 50% that really liked Cloverfield - I do think it's a big screen movie though - or a big tv screen movie. There are so many details in the scenes that it's easy to miss them on a small screen.

Ratatouille - entertaining but not my fave pixar movie I never weighed in on this movie I think ... I basically agree with Ginxter on this one, and disagree with most of the critics I read. I was a little disappointed by the plot, which was 100% "I-saw-THIS-coming" type. On the other hand, it is a kids' movie basically.

So far the only pixar movie I want to see is WALL-E. I've been told by 2 friends that Blade Runner sucks. ! is a very harsh critic and the other is a crappy one. So I am going to the only critics I trust and thats all my fellow EQ buddis. So tell me is it good? and if it is is action pack or dialogued like crazy?

I've been told by 2 friends that Blade Runner sucks. Are we talking about THE Blade Runner? The one with Harrison Ford, Edward James Olmos, Sean Young, Rutger Hauer, and Daryl Hannah? Whoever told you that must divide all their viewing time between Looney Tunes and Rambo. It has great dialogue, good competent action, and a viewpoint that makes ya stop and think. If you could watch no other sci-fi this year, watch that.

Finished seeing it. I agree and disagree with my two friends ( who hated the film for the wrong reaseons). The performances from this film was great and the FX for its time was fantastic. But the plot although good it felt thin on most parts the love between Deckard and Rachael was kind of quick and was saddly unexplored. It felt like the film could have been better told if it was 30 mins longer I recommend it to some of my friends though even though I like the movie the endiing was kind of a downer. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 7. There is a Korean remake of this film called Natural City I like the film beter because it better explained the romanced and delved in to the love between the two. What can I say I am sucker for romance. But I hear that the Final cut version is actually better than the DC version is that true? cause if it is I'll give it a second go.

Just seen another film called Gabriel. It had a Underworld and The Crow feel to it but it was acutally good. And for a 2 million dollar Budget it looked more expensive than that. the movie was 50/50 by critics so it might not be for everyone so check it and tell me what you think. Here is the trailer for those who are curious. www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0w2mx64KkA&feature=related

Went to see Narnia this weekend..... ok can I just say that I was bored to high hell. I was expecting a lot of battles and just something more than what this movie was. It was a lot of talking, a lot of men trying to see who's better, it lacked the moral of family from the first movie and it was just all around a blahhhhhh movie.
I hope Indiana Jones fairs better......

Well indiana will be better but I never hoped for more battles for narnia due to the fact that it's PG. You can't get really violent with that rating not like LOTR. Hey Ginxy have you seen the movie Gabriel I have the trailer this page the movie is how I quoted it Underworld with The Crow touch to it.

and finally... an intriguing little foreign-language movie called "Das Fraulein" (Jay...you may have heard of this one...?) about a lonely, single Yugoslavian woman living in Zurich, whose neatly ordered life is irrevocably changed by the arrival of a young Bosnian woman. Interesting! Is the woman in Zurich more of a Serbian or a Croatian? Not that that would make a terrible lot of difference from a Bosnian perspective, of course. Or do they even say?

The Incredible Hulk - this movie was better than the first one that is for certain. I did have a headache when were were watching it so all the explosions just seemed way to loud - but other than that I thought it was a good chase movie. There were cute parts and dramatic parts. They set it up for a sequel in so many ways it was unbelievable. I know they cut at least an hour out of the movie, so it'll be interesting to see those scenes. I thought that Norton did a good job and was believable in the role too. I love Liv Tyler but I didn't feel that she was right for Betty. I just couldn't believe that she was a scientist.......

I saw some thing horrible this week. My sister took me to the theater but when she gave me the ticket to go sit down it said SEX AND THE CITY!!!. Good god at least the episodes that my sister watches are 24mins this was 2&1/2 hours of pure torture. I...I don't know what else to tell ya except that this movie sucks and if I was driving I would have left and picked my sister up when it was over.
Anyways I also bought seasons 1-4 of News radio. Very funny show to bad Phil Hartman was murdered by his crazy wife.

I hope Indiana Jones fairs better...... I found Prince Caspian more watchable than the first Narnia actually. The main problem it had was it's even more overt Christian message of "Try as you might, you can't do anything without Jesus *cough* Aslan." But I'm told that is typical of the books...that the disguise wore thinner. I never read Caspian, just the first one and The Horse and His Boy. It's been so long ago I can't remember the details.

I didn't really care for the first Narnia movie - I did kinda like Prince Caspian - but I was looking for more Prince Caspian and less of the other stuff. Watched August Rush - it was a cute movie. Not quite a chick flick - more like a kid just looking for his parents with a lot of music tied in - Sex and the City - I thought - was a good movie. I enjoyed it. And yes - it was awesome that Mr. Big turned out to be John Preston lol!!!

Watched a few movies this weekend. • Hancock - which to be honest was much better than the critics were making it out to be. It wasn't brain surgery, it was a chill summer movie. It did have some plot holes and it did feel like we missed the beginning of the movie but overall it was a fun movie. The only thing that really bothered me was that I felt like some of the music was out of place and didn't go with the scene (music is important to me in a movie). • The Onion Movie - was just stupid and funny • Simpsons Movie - this was the second time seeing it - still pretty funny • Vantage Point - Interesting movie but overall a tad annoying with how they laid out the different perspectives • Charlie Bartlet - interesting movie, could have been better but overall cute • Totally Baked - interesting movie about whether they should or should not legalize smoking pot (with stupid twists to it)

Last night I watched "Chocolate" on DVD. (No, not "Chocolat" the movie about a French chocolatier!) A wonderful and moving Thai film. Watch the trailer... www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi1110508313/...then go rent it! Seriously, I cannot recommend it highly enough. A bittersweet story coupled with some of the most amazing fight sequences I think I have ever seen! Hahahaha... Ironically I've seen this film, when I've been in London. It is awesome, like Mira already said. ;D ;D ;D But I watched it in Thai language with terribly wrong English subtitles. I don't understand a word of Thai, but terrible grammar and spelling mistakes were included in the subtitles, but the movie was much fun anyway.

I saw Taken yesterday and I really recommend it! Liam Neeson is great on the action scenes and has the cool pose of a "Dirty Harry", a man that must do what has to be done!! It's a really good movie!

just watched "valkerie". this movie had one huge flaw, tom "no talent" cruise. the rest of the movie was good. Ain't it the truth. I haven't seen "Valkyrie" and it's not on my list to see. The problem is that Mr Cruise is a star in the old H'wood style, which means he developed his own 'brand' as an actor. Now he can't star in anything where he's not "Tom Cruise playing so-and-so." It's a dead giveaway when the star's name appears above the title of the movie. The "Mission Impossible" movies were an example of him doing what he's fit to do. The exception--I'm told--was "Interview With The Vampire," where he reportedly struck oddly effective sparks as Lestat. Perhaps it had something to do with (imho) Lestat trying to be something he really wasn't in life, and Cruise acting him as a sort of counterpart to that. I'm also told that Kirsten Dunst in an early role as Olivia was eerily good. Unlike most of her later work.

I saw David Mamet's Redbelt last week and it's a master piece! The main character (the jujitsu master - Mike) is truly remarkable, strongly idealist, and with the honour of a true samurai. I know he's only a movie character, but the world should have more people like him, and I should have a martial arts master like him......

IWAV is probably the only movie of both these stars that i liked. cruise showed promise of going beyond his pretty boy 80's image and dunst was very good in her role of olivia. somethime i think co-starring alongside brad "add" pitt, might have given them a slight push to "act" instead of just decorating the screen. sadly pitt himself has fallen prey to the "look at me i'm pretty" syndrone lately. to me his acting is starting to be a parody of himself. it' like your going to the movie to see "brad pitt playing brad pitt". i'm hoping pitt and tarantino can redeem themselves with inglorious basterds(bastards), otherwise i'm writing them off my movie radar.

im surprised to see no one has talked about wether they like Terminator Salvation or maybe i just cant find the page for it. Either ways i think the movie was cool even though there were obvious editing mishaps in the movie its obvious that there will be a director's cut waiting for the fans of terminator. Bales performance in the movie was not really the best that he has done because again edeting and made his character come of a little stiff. I hope the movie will be able to get the war trilogy it deserves. Now here is what i dont get what i don't understand from hateful viewers is that they say that the movie sucked cause it had to much action and no arnold hmmmmm.... didn't transformers 2 have action through out all of the movie and people liked it even though the plot was absolute garbage. it just shows that my fellow american audience dont care for plots like terminator just throw bullets fire and bombs and they will be a sucker for it. To anyone who is curious about terminator salvation but have not seen it cause of poor overreacted word of mouth you should see the european reviews they obviously liked it more than the U.S. and the fact that it made 200million more than in the U.S proves that fans like it more in europe.

action wise terminator was fine. the characters didn't seem to "gel" with each other. everyone's acting seemed to "stiff". i think the script may not have given them room to move so to speak. i loved the scene where bale attracts the cycle terminator by playing what on the radio? "you could be mine".
