i keep watchin this movie over and over, and yes the gun-kata is unreal just absolute ass kickin. what im lookin for help on is when he goes to hand to hand or say usin a blunt object like the hilts of his pistols im curious as to what they based those movements off of. several yrs in martial arts has me with a few guesses but was wondering if anyone actually could shed some light on this. looks to be Kali.......

Good eye.
Kali seems like a logical choice. It could also be Balisong, or even Kempo. The scene from the Tetragrammaton Monastery where Preston and Brandt square off and discuss the murders in the Nether is clearly linked to Kendo. Like many fighting systems, the style of the Tetragrammaton would seem to be a blend of classic fighting styles as well as knowledge and techniques pioneered by new thinkers.
