First off, Hi. Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I'm not going to go through hundreds of posts to find out. I want to talk to all you Gun Kata enthusiasts about Airsoft. Airsoft is a military simulation game, where you use replicas of real-life guns to fire 6mm plastic BBs at your opponents. Normally, this game is used to re-enact and exercise modern warfare. However, I believe that Airsoft can also be used to improve the practice and application of Gun Kata. Gun Kata, as far as I can understand, is limited by the fact there are no specialized training tools. Airsoft guns, handguns in particular, are extremely realistic, and would allow students to see how well their training would work in real life. Like kendo sticks in the practice of Bushido, Airsoft guns would allow you to get as close as possible to the real thing. In addition to training, Airsoft would allow you to make demonstration videos to show off your martial art to potential students. Just make sure to exercise due safety, Wear full seal goggles, and face protection if you plan on training at point-blank range. Whoops, I just looked through a couple threads and noticed you have already heard of and use airsoft. Well, sorry to have posted such a lengthy thread about a topic you already have knowledge in.
