i know this may not be directly related to gun kata but in Australia airsoft is banned so we need all the support we can get, so we can all have our little slice of backyard gun kata with realistic guns www.petitiononline.com/sh3jf432/petition.html

Can't they just make it illegal NOT to wear goggles when playing with Airsoft? They shouldn't take awy the fun.... However, there was an incident here in Toronto during the Molson Indies where a kid was shot in the eye by some teenagers driving in a truck by a pellet gun. He has brain damage and lost sight in that eye (they can remove it) I'm sure they should bring it back, because not many people drive around in trucks shooting at little innocent kids.

well airsoft in every country uses goggles, so im not sure why the firearms blokes down in Australia desided to ban them.
personly i think it is stupid as long there is rules applyed and people obey them e.g. goggles

were trying everything we can, like ringing up local rep's on their views on banning a sport and asking about airsoft.
and calling the fire arms registry.
but that one is a good idea

I live in airsoft central in south england I have several skirmish sites within 45 mins drive from my house, heres the thing tho... it is maybe soon be banned (so the story goes) the thing is banks etc will no longer provide insurance to most skirmish sites so any serious damage can be taken to court as assault or GBH. also there has been a rise in guncrime... unfortunatly most of them are useing 'replica' aka airsoft guns to hold people up etc. the minority are ruining it for all legitimate airsofters.
Is the owning of an airsoft gun illeagle? or the practicing of the sport?

i hate how governments decide to outright ban things like doing it is going to help things out.
-if people are going to commit crimes, they are going to do it whether they can legally obtain weapons, airsoft or otherwise, or not. they are committing crimes, you know... they dont care if they break gun control laws. all that happens is a hindrance on normal everyday, law abiding citizens that just want to have fun.

What is airsoft, exactly? Is it those little plastic ball bearings? Or is it just a different kind of paintball? I love paintball, even though I've only played it once. Painful, but fun.
