I'm currently listening to all the albums of "Volbeat" up and down. This is a Danish band, which has become known in Germany last year, who's playing "Elvis Metal", which is really a very good mixture between Elvis Rock 'n Roll, a bit of Country and Heavy Metal. The singer Michael Poulsen sometimes really sounds like Elvis singing Metal songs, which's very innovative I think. Especially on they're 3rd album "Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood" you can hear this very well... Definitely a recommend if you want to hear something you haven't heard this way before...

"Elvis Metal ... " hmm! Interesting, as Elvis himself would certainly have considered most heavy-metal musicians to be degenerate goons, and made a public-service announcement advising them all to clean up their act ... and then afterwards relieved the stress by washing down a half-dozen Valiums with a few whisky cocktails.

Currently the selftitled album of "Avenged Sevenfold" is running up and down here. To me it's an absolutely brilliant "some kind of" Progressive Metal album and sounds like the soundtrack of an Tim Burton Romantic Horror musical with guitars or something similar... I didn't like their older albums that much, but this one's definitely recomended...

Disturbed - Asylum Heavy rocking recommended by my brother after he's seen them life at Rock am Ring (largest live festival of Europe) and was blasted. His favourite concert there was of course System of a DownI like the album cover as well...

I haven't had much time for listening lately I'm afraid. I am getting Stevie Wonder's "Songs In The Key Of Life" for Mira, though.

“Kindergarten – The Alternative Achtung Baby”
after 20 yrs one of my favorite albums doesn't sound as "fresh" as it once did. this disc of early mixes brings back so much of the excitement, despair, darkness and hope of the finalized version.

Never heard of them ... but, looking them up, they do sound interesting! My attention has been drawn to the electro-goth sounds of Analog Missionary. www.analogmissionary.com/
