oooh, nice pictures Libby! I love Italy, too. Been there about 5 times and still not tired of it. and I agree, the police transport is hilarious. I'd crack up if someone pulled up next to my car on those wheels ;D

Everytime I see a Segway these days I think of Weird Al's White & Nerdy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbVtbc_XzrII can just see a police chase with those. It would be like that wheelchair chase scene in Silent Movie. (bahahahah!!!)

The Italian coastline around Amalfi is certainly dramatic and Tuscany is gorgeous. So many lovely places to visit in the world... *shakes piggy bank*

Aw! That is so sweet. Was the joey a'rescue' job? yeah, his mother got hit by a car and died, but he was still in the pouch, alive. that happens to a lot of joeys, so this ex zoo keeper opened the kangaroo rescue centre in Alice Springs. I thought it was a great idea.

I shaved my huge beard off and have started growing Pimp Sideburns (need the line across my face from my current sideburns, but that’ll come soon). Before: After:

Here's the latest one of me ... to commemorate losing 40 pounds since I began dieting last year. I begin on the second 40 to-day. Who knows ... we may even manage a third 40 eventually. I wouldn't die from that ... in fact we'd be almost down to where the doctors think I ought to be.

Here's the machine ... not what I learned on by a long shot!! I learnt on a small, agile Suzuki 250 ... this is a Honda Magna VF750C ... practically like a Harley. A real "boat," as they say.

As my daughter would say 'kewlios'! And a sensible bit at the back to keep your pillion rider from sliding off when you roar into the sunset!

Thanks. It's an older one ... one owner but very high mileage which I got cheap because of that. I didn't want to drop $21,000 on a Harley and THEN discover that I didn't like riding after all!!
The disadvantage is that it's a challenge to handle in the beginning. The advantage is that after I've mastered the Magna, if and when I DO move to a Harley, the move will be very easy.
Motorcycles may look all alike .. but between a 250 and a 750 there's as much difference as between driving a Mini Cooper and a twelve-passenger van.
