Here's a taste of the upcoming video based on my 'avatar adventure' ... the introductory segment which sets it up--not terribly hi-fi, to make it load faster, but good enough. The full version with better picture will be made available on or about 25 November. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvT2M_HjtTI

Oh... Am I the first one, who replies to your work? I like it. ;D The pictures are well chosen and I can still hear the music. To watch your Avatarbox show contiguous and even the parts I haven't seen. The researches for all these many pictures must have been hard work is fun. From my point of view you did a really interesting and outstanding video or should I say opera? A diashow movie is something you can't see often. It's unusual, but entertaining I think. There is just one point I think you should add for better understanding: The subtitles are missing, but they make the story more understandable. This way it could be confusing for outstanding people. But all in all I really appreciate your work and I'm looking forward to the next. (Or maybe you will make a new version with subtitles. ) You are very creative, but this is something we all already recognized. ;D

Thanks. Using the original pics from the avatar box series was just what I wanted to do ... to preserve that in summary form, so to speak, with music to tickle your ears as you reviewed the whole series ... rather than making a whole new creation. I've always believed that slideshows are a medium that has been unjustly neglected.
Captioning them was a debate with me. I have never liked subtitles. I ultimately decided against it, trusting that people might enjoy the pictures and music, take the barebones ideas in the introduction, and then be able to use their own imaginations to supply a storyline even if they didn't know my original one. It's racked up enough views and downloads on Veoh to impress me, and it's been favourited by at least one person the last time I checked. For me that's good enough.
I might make a straight EQ slideshow someday if I can think of a really original theme, rather than just "favourite Gun Kata moments" set to music. (Though those are good too!) ;D

Cool idea! Liked the music...a few too many scantily clad cybervixens for my die-hard hetero-taste (a sweaty-torsoed Preston would have evened things out a bit). It's given me an idea for my Christmas family photo cd though...obviously not the cybervixens and the 'subject terminated' bits...I liked the repetitive aspects, linking the whole thing together.
